White Shadows has been revealed, a bizarre, black-and-white narrative platformer due for release on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2021. Shown off during IGN's Gamescom Awesome Indies show, developer Monokel describes the game as, "a modern fable, a distorted mirror of our own world, funny, f**ked up and a little meaningful." Players will take the role of Ravengirl, guiding her escape from the White City, a surveillance state ruled by wolves, and populated by rats and sheep. Check out a reveal trailer below: [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/08/29/white-shadows-trailer-a-spooky-black-and-white-platformer"] The game is built around its black and white colour scheme - referencing film noir and silent films - and aims to use lighting to add style and depth to every area, which are composed to offer detail about the wider world of the White City as you travel through it.
