Bethesda offered an in-depth look at Doom Eternal's first proper expansion, The Ancient Ones: Part 1 DLC, alongside a release date. Revealed during Gamescom 2020's Opening Night Live, Bethesda showcased the first gameplay of Doom Eternal's DLC expansion, which is set to hit on October 20, 2020. The trailer promised more of the gameplay from the critically praised sequel, while showcasing new battles and some intimidating opponents. Doom Eternal's first DLC expansion was announced at QuakeCon 2020 with. a brief teaser, but it's by no means the first update to this year's shooter. Various free updates have already been released for the game; and speaking of updates, Bethesda confirmed Doom Eternal players on current-gen will receive free next-gen upgrades.
