This Is What Sony's Spider-Man Movie Universe Is Officially Called

There may have been some confusion among fans when Sony Pictures' official Spider-Man movies Twitter account referred to the "Spider-Man Universe of Characters" in a recent tweet. That would seem to be an all-encompassing name for not only the past Spider-Man movies featuring Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield but also the current Tom Holland/MCU-related films as well as titles such as Venom and Morbius. But, no, Sony's Spidey-verse is not called the Spider-Man Universe of Characters or the Spidey-verse. IGN reached out to the studio for clarification on what their Marvel movie universe should be called and were told its official name is the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters. This information, as it turns out, has been out there for a while but just not widely known. The studio refers to the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters in this Sony Pictures Entertainment presentation from 2019, which also confirms that they're developing a Kraven the Hunter movie. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=every-spider-man-movie-spin-off-in-development&captions=true"] We've heard rumblings about a Kraven movie since 2018, with screenwriter Richard Wenk stating at the time that the movie would draw inspiration from the famous comics storyline "Kraven's Last Hunt" and that he might write Spider-Man into the story. And while it remains unclear how Venom: Let There Be Carnage might connect to the Tom Holland/Spidey movies, the first trailer for Morbius did confirm that the movie takes place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/morbius-is-part-of-the-mcu-with-spider-man-and-vulture-ign-now"] What do you think of the name "Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters"? 36 Assassin's Creed Valhalla Gameplay, Story, World Details

While the announcement of Assassin's Creed Valhalla didn't feature any gameplay footage just yet, it did include a host of information about the open world, the story, and gameplay of the first entry of the franchise set to hit PS5 and Xbox Series X. Below, we've broken down the biggest updates we learned as part of the Valhalla reveal, including officially released information from Ubisoft, information we received in our interview with Valhalla director Ashraf Ismail, and interviews from various other team members from other outlets. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/assassins-creed-valhalla-official-trailer"]

Open-World Gameplay and Combat

  • Combat has been altered in some form, with an emphasis on making every hit feel impactful.
  • That includes giving players the ability to dismember and decapitate foes.
  • While Assassins have had two weapons at once before (two swords, for example), Valhalla places a new emphasis on dual-wielding weaponry, with players allowed to mix and match the game's arsenal.
  • Shields return as part of that arsenal after being absent from Odyssey.
  • The assassin's blade returns as well.
  • Throwing axes will be available in Valhalla as one of Eivor's many weapon options.
  • Players will traverse by sea via their Viking longship.
  • Players can spot fortresses from the water to attack with their raiding party in massive raids.
  • Largescale land battles will also be part of the story, though it's unclear if they'll function like Odyssey's army battles.
  • RPG trappings introduced in Origins will return, with new skills, as well as new gear to collect.
  • Open-world activities include hunting, fishing, dice, and drinking games.
  • Additionally, Valhalla will introduce the competitive sport of flyting, aka, Viking rap battles.
  • Eivor, the protagonist, will have a bird companion in the form of a raven, a common addition to the most recent Assassin's Creed.
[widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=assassins-creed-valhalla-first-screenshots&captions=true"]

Story and World

  • Valhalla is set in ninth-century England during the Dark Ages.
  • It will follow Eivor, a Viking warrior who leads his people out of Norway and into England to settle.
  • King Alfred of Wessex will be an opponent Eivor and the Vikings face
  • Alfred will be an antagonist, but narrative director Darby McDevitt said it would be wrong to call him the "central antagonist" of the game. (via GameSpot)
  • Where some other possible big antagonists may appear is in the modern-day story, as Ismail also confirmed Layla's modern story from Origins and Odyssey would continue in Valhalla. (via Game Informer)
  • Eivor will eventually run across some group of Assassins in England, though at this time the Assassins and Templars are still being referred to as they were in AC: Origins and Odyssey: The Hidden Ones and the Order of the Ancients, respectively. (via Eurogamer)
  • Valhalla's map will include Norway, which players can return to after the Vikings leave, and the four kingdoms of England: Wessex, Northumbria, East Anglia, Mercia.
  • Major English cities included will be London, Winchester, and Jorvik. (via GameSpot)
  • While Valhalla is not meant to be the end of the series, McDevitt called it a "good capper" to the franchise so far, and should include a lot of nods to the franchise's history (via GameSpot)
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/assassins-creed-valhalla-director-gives-gameplay-details"]

Development

  • Ubisoft Montreal is the lead development studio on Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
  • Ashraf Ismail is directing the project. Ismail and his team previously worked on Assassin's Creed Black Flag and Assassin's Creed Origins.
  • Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be the first entry of the franchise for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
  • It is also confirmed for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Google Stadia, and UPlay+.
  • It is set for a Holiday 2020 release window.

Player Choice - Settlement, Customization, and more

  • Like in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, players can choose either a male or female protagonist
  • Gear will also be much more customizable in Valhalla
  • Each piece of gear in the game will be unique (via GI)
  • New customization options include hair, tattoos, clothing, and war paint.
  • Players will be able to make custom Viking raiders for their raiding parties and even share them with friends
  • Players will also get to forge a home for themselves and either Vikings with the focus on building a settlement, your Viking homestead.
  • The settlement will include buildings to upgrade, like a blacksmith, barracks, tattoo parlor, and more
  • Players will have to make choices throughout the campaign, including political and personal alliances, dialogue choices, and more
  • Alliance examples include conducting a marriage to unite clans, while romance options will be available to the player, too (via Eurogamer)

Watch Tron Actor Reunite With His Light Suit Four Decades Later

"Oh my God, hello old friend. Greetings, program." That's the surprised reaction Tron actor Bruce Boxleitner had after being reunited with his light suit from the 1982 Steven Lisberger classic in Disney+'s new docuseries Prop Culture. In the exclusive clip below, you can watch Boxleitner have a heartfelt reunion with the iconic Tron costume, which he hadn't seen in years. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/04/30/tron-actor-bruce-boxleitner-reunites-with-his-light-suit-disney-prop-culture-exclusive-clip"] Made of lycra, leather, canvas and plastic, the costume was in such delicate condition that Boxleitner and Prop Culture's host, movie prop collector Dan Lanigan, needed to wear plastic gloves to handle it. In the clip, Boxleitner reflects on how the costume was made and what it was like to star in a Disney movie that became such a fan-favorite. "It is amazing holding this because working on a Disney movie for a kid like my age group, this is what we grew up on," said Boxleitner. "To actually be in a Disney movie was pretty thrilling, I've got to say." Prop Culture follows Lanigan as he learns more about the extensive collection of movie props he's collected over the years by talking to the people who made them, while also going into the Disney archives and exploring its treasures. Episodes will focus on a number of Disney titles, including Nightmare Before Christmas, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mary Poppins, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Honey, I Shrunk the Kid, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and, of course, Tron. All eight episodes of Disney+'s Prop Culture will be available Friday, May 1st. Summer GDC Now Fully Digital As Coronavirus Pandemic Continues

Game Developers Conference (GDC) organizers have announced that the planned GDC Summer event in August that was meant to replace the original March conference will now be all-digital as the public continues to grapple with coronavirus. In a short blog update, GDC organizers announced that they will be moving forward with the GDC Summer event but as a digital-only affair. GDC traditionally runs as a live event in San Francisco during March. But plans were halted after the COVID-19 outbreak in the United States. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=all-the-big-games-coming-in-2020&captions=true"] Organizers later announced a shorter replacement event that was to run from August 4 to 6 at its traditional site, the Moscone Center in San Francisco. However, those plans have now changed again. While GDC is primarily an event for game developers, there are usually talks hosted by industry leaders that give greater insight into some of the year’s biggest games. Developers like Hideo Kojima were slated to give keynote talks at this year’s GDC before the shows were postponed. GDC also hosts the annual Game Developers Choice Awards which honor some of the year’s biggest and critically-acclaimed games. Other game shows have been impacted this year due to the pandemic including E3. For a full rundown of video game shows impacted by COVID-19 check out IGN’s master list here. Russos Remaking Disney's Hercules for Live-Action

Disney is hoping Hercules will go from zero to hero again, this time in live-action. The studio has reportedly tapped Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo to produce, but not direct, a live-action remake of their 1997 animated film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hercules will be scripted by Dave Callaham (Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Doom, The Expendables).  The Russos will produce via their AGBO production company. The project is in very early development and there's no director attached yet. The film is also not at the casting stage yet. 1997's Hercules voice cast included Tate Donovan, Danny DeVito, James Woods, and Susan Egan. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=every-upcoming-disney-live-action-remake&captions=true"] THR claims it's not known whether the live-action Hercules will be a musical as the original animated film was, but it should be expected to have action in it given Callaham's writing credits. Ever since the massive success of 2017's Beauty and the Beast, Disney has leaned into live-action remakes of and sequels to their animated classics (although in the case of The Lion King, "live-action" really means photorealism). [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2018/06/29/the-25-best-disney-animated-movies"] The Russo brothers' next directorial effort is the drama Cherry, starring Tom Holland. They also produced Netflix's Extraction, starring Chris Hemsworth and directed by Sam Hargrave. All four talents will join IGN today, at 5pm PT, for a Watch From Home Theater breaking down the action-thriller.

Anne Hathaway Showed Up to Her Catwoman Audition as Harley Quinn

Anne Hathaway says that she went on her audition for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises prepared for a totally different DC Comics femme fatale: Harley Quinn. In a new interview with BBC Radio 1 (via Batman-News), Hathaway explains that she dressed in the style of Harley Quinn when she met with Nolan assuming that was the role he had in mind for her only to discover in the middle of it that she was up for Catwoman. “I came in and I had this lovely Vivian Westwood kind of beautiful-but-mad tailoring top with stripes going everywhere,” Hathaway recalled. “And I wore these flat Joker-ey looking shoes. And I was trying to give Chris these crazy little smiles.” This went on for some time before Nolan dropped a bombshell on her. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=ranking-the-batman-movies&captions=true"] “About an hour into the meeting he said ‘Well, I’m sure I don’t have to tell you this, but it’s Catwoman,'” Hathaway said. “And I was shifting into a different gear. ‘Now ok, we’re slinky. We’re slinky. And I hate my shirt. I love my shirt, but I hate it right now. We’re slinky.'” Given how notoriously secretive Nolan is about his projects, Hathaway can be forgiven for not knowing which character she was up for before she went in. And considering his previous Bat-film, The Dark Knight, featured Joker, perhaps Hathaway assumed the sequel would somehow bring in his shrink-turned-girlfriend Harley Quinn. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/10/19/ranking-the-batman-movie-villains"] In the end, Hathaway played Catwoman in Nolan's final Bat-film and Margot Robbie went on to bring Harley Quinn to life in Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey. Hathaway also recently sent well wishes to the screen's next Catwoman, Zoe Kravitz, who will play Selina Kyle in next year's The Batman.

Matrix 4: John Wick Directors Involved in Action Choreography

John Wick directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch have confirmed that they are returning to assist on Matrix 4. In an interview with Collider, Stahelski and Leitch, who worked as stunt performers on the original Matrix trilogy, discussed their involvement in the forthcoming instalment, explaining that they had been hired to help out with some of the action design on the sequel. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/02/05/matrix-4-reportedly-enters-production-as-izombie-actor-joins-cast-in-secret-role-ign-news"] "It's more about the creative concept of some of the choreography and backing them up with stuff," said Stahelski, who doubled for Keanu Reeves on the original Matrix movies. "They asked us to help out with the choreography and some of the physical training for the guys. I'm helping out a little bit for a sequence, I think Dave's helping out for a sequence. Lana [Wachowski's] come back with a lot of love to have a pseudo-family reunion, so that's been a lot of fun. It's been good to see a lot of the crew members again. We just finished doing a sequence in San Francisco before the pandemic started." Stahelski also noted that Matrix 4 doesn't have a second unit for its action scenes, as Wachowski opted to direct the sequences herself. "What makes [Lana] so great is she directs her own action," added Stahelski. "We've had second unit directors on some of the Matrixes just because of the logistics involved. But of late, and especially on Matrix 4, she's directing her own action. The second units for them are mostly establishing shots, the B-sides of the some of the compositions for some locations. But Lana, she does her own action. She weaves it into the main unit stuff, which is why their stuff looks so good." [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=the-matrix-4-every-actor-and-character-confirmed-for-the-sequel&captions=true"] Stahelski described Matrix 4 as an "incredibly fun" entry into the groundbreaking sci-fi saga, adding, "I think if you're a fan of the original trilogy you're gonna love this. [It's] coming back with a vengeance." Interestingly, Matrix 4 is currently set for release on May 21, 2021, the same day as John Wick 4 (another Keanu Reeves-fronted film). However, these release dates could yet change, as production on Matrix 4 shut down last month due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which has caused a number of other shifts, shake-ups, and delays in the industry. Assassin's Creed Valhalla is the next entry in the long-running series and features Vikings, settlements, raids, and more new additions. E3 Nintendo Direct in June Reportedly Delayed

Nintendo will reportedly delay its annual E3 Direct broadcast this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and Japan’s state of emergency orders that have forced more employees to work from home. VentureBeat and Eurogamer both reported that Nintendo’s annual June Direct, which premieres during the week of E3, has been pushed back as Nintendo employees adjust to work-from-home orders. Nintendo has reportedly told partners that it needs more time to develop its first-party games. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=every-ign-super-mario-review-ever&captions=true"] One of the biggest rumors going into Nintendo’s E3 season was its plans for Mario’s 35th anniversary in September. Assassin's Creed Valhalla to Feature Viking Rap Battles

Ubisoft unveiled Assassin's Creed Valhalla with a reveal trailer, the first in-game screenshots, and plenty of story and gameplay details. But among the many bits of information Ubisoft has revealed about the next Assassin's Creed, one stands as quite a surprise - Viking rap battles. Yes, according to an official description for Valhalla on Ubisoft's website, the open-world of ninth-century England and Norway will feature common activities like hunting, drinking games, and fishing. But more importantly, you'll be able to engage in flyting, aka, rap battles. The full description reads:
Sail across the icy North Sea to discover and conquer the broken kingdoms of England. Immerse yourself in activities like hunting, fishing, dice, and drinking games, or engage in traditional Norse competitions like flyting – or, as it's better known, verbally devastating rivals through the art of the Viking rap battle.
[widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=assassins-creed-valhalla-trailer-images&captions=true"] Flyting was a battle of insults, akin to modern-day rap battles, allowing you to quite literally add insult to injury against all those who oppose the main character Eivor during Valhalla's story. Flyting comes from Old English and is translated as "to quarrel," and examples of it have been found in Norse, Celtic, Old English, and more writings. If it sounds like a far cry from the stereotypical activities you hear Vikings would embark on — namely, a lot of raiding and pillaging, well, you're not alone in that belief. But Thierry Noël, historian and inspirational content advisor of the Editorial Research Unit on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, spoke to Ubisoft about the unexpected gap in how Vikings actually lived compared to their perceived lives. "The gap between the reality of Norse society and the image we have of the reckless Viking was really interesting to me. They were a fascinating society in terms of culture and pretty fair in the way they treated women, who had important rights at the time. It was certainly contradictory to the common image we have of Vikings," Noël told Ubisoft. And given that Valhalla is leaning into the player choice the series has recently adopted, including adding new character customization options and important dialogue choices, it only seems fitting we'll be able to choose how to verbally devastate foes in between raiding parties and settlement upgrades. Speaking of settlements, Valhalla is placing a big emphasis on building and shoring up Eivor's Viking settlement in the new Assassin's Creed, as game director Ashraf Ismail told IGN in a recent interview, which you can watch below. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/04/30/assassins-creed-valhalla-director-gives-gameplay-details"] Assassin's Creed Valhalla is set to be released this holiday season on PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, PC exclusively on the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store, Google Stadia, and UPlay+. Assassin's Creed: Valhalla was fully announced today with a CGI trailer, but the press release also included the first in-engine screenshots of the game. Assassin's Creed Valhalla Gameplay, Story Details Revealed

After an extended teaser announcement, Ubisoft revealed Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the next entry in the long-running series, with a release date window of the 2020 holiday season for PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, PC exclusively on the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store, Google Stadia, and UPlay+. Revealed alongside a cinematic trailer offering a glimpse of the new setting and characters, Ubisoft confirmed Valhalla will be set in ninth-century Europe, as players take on the role of Eivor, a Viking raider who leads their people out of Norway and into the kingdoms of England. Valhalla is being developed at Ubisoft Montreal, which previously developed Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Origins, with over a dozen Ubisoft associate studios contributing as well to the new game. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/04/30/assassins-creed-valhalla-official-trailer"]

Gameplay - Settlements, Raids, Customization

While the reveal trailer did not showcase direct gameplay, many of its scenes echo the new additions Valhalla is making to the franchise’s gameplay. The open world setting of England’s Dark Ages and Viking culture will also bring with it some key elements to Valhalla’s gameplay, perhaps most notably the Viking settlement Eivor is leading. Sounding akin to Black Flag’s Inagua settlement, and even Ezio’s Assassin’s Creed II villa before it, Valhalla game director Ashraf Ismail told IGN ahead of the announcement more about how important the settlement is to Eivor’s story, as well as what the gameplay of it may look like. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=assassins-creed-valhalla-trailer-images&captions=true"] “The settlement is a key feature of the game. It's quite grand in what we're trying to achieve with it. We want you to feel that this is your home, that you're building, that a lot of what you're doing in the game world is, at the end of the day, going to feed into the settlement so that it can grow, it can flourish. We have a ton of buildings that people can build. Each building comes with its own gameplay purpose,” Ismail said. “There's a lot of effort that's gone into making sure that players can feel like this home that they're developing is really meaningful to them. It's meaningful to the journey that they're on. The people that they invite to their settlement have meaning to them. Lots of events and things happen based on how you decide to kind of grow this place. It's really core to the experience of the game.” Of course, Eivor will need to leave their settlement and venture out into the world to experience it in true Assassin’s Creed style, and Valhalla introduces more adjustments there as well. The introduction of the Viking longship points to naval combat, which this development team pioneered in Black Flag, while Eivor will also be able to lead their people on raids from the waterfront to gather resources and money. [poilib element="quoteBox" parameters="excerpt=%22The%20settlement%20is%20a%20key%20feature%20of%20the%20game.%22"] Valhalla will also update the combat that saw a major revision in Origins, introducing dual-wielding weaponry against a promised “greater variety of enemies than ever before.” And Valhalla will build off of what Assassin’s Creed Odyssey offered in terms of player customization. In addition to playing Eivor as either male or female, players will also be able to customize Eivor’s hair, tattoos, clothing, war point, and gear. Meanwhile, choices will have to be made in the story, including dialogue choices and “political alliances” that will affect the world of Valhalla. “There's customization on the character we've never had in the [franchise] before,” Ismail said. “The gear system has been revamped quite a lot to really push a balance between having great gameplay-oriented gear, but also the look that players can really customize the look of that gear. In terms of the grander choices, it comes down to the journey and the settlement, and what do you want to leave behind in the settlement and what kind of impact do you want to have on the people that you're trying to take care of?”

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on PS5 and Xbox Series X

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be the first entry in the series to take advantage of the PS5 and Series X, and Ismail spoke to how those new consoles are helping to bring Valhalla’s world to life for what is meant to be a “flagship” Ubisoft game on the next-gen consoles. “Assassin’s Creed has always been committed to new technologies because our ambitions with these games and these worlds is to deliver the most immersive experience that we possibly can. So anytime there is new technology, we’re very open to it, our software is very open to it. Our software is open to it,” Ismail said. “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is meant to be a flagship game for next-gen for Ubisoft, so we’re quite excited.” [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=assassins-creed-valhalla-first-screenshots&captions=true"] Specifically, he said the team is quite excited about what the reduced load times will allow for the new entry’s world. “Having significantly faster loading times, effectively means we’re able to remove some of the friction of the immersion we’re trying to go after. We’re trying to build the most immersive experiences we possibly can, so having extremely fast loading helps us out a lot with that. These worlds, the Dark Ages of England and Norway, these are breathtaking, living worlds. So to be able to push them to an incredible potential is wonderful for us,” he said.

Story and World

As the reveal trailer indicates, Eivor’s journey will take them and their Viking community from Norway across the North Sea to the four kingdoms of England. While all those territories will be explorable in some fashion in Valhalla, Ismail indicated there are some surprises in store. “You can actually quite dynamically go back to Norway anytime you want. And Norway is quite breathtaking. We have the four kingdoms within England, Wessex, Northumbria, East Anglia, Mercia. It's quite a large chunk of England,” he said. “There's other surprises that I won't spoil, but our ambition has been to deliver the Viking experience, the Viking fantasy within the Assassin's Creed world." [poilib element="poll" parameters="id=f90fefa4-336e-4d26-bf06-f994223841a7"] Among the opposition Eivor and the Vikings will face is Saxon resistance, namely in the form of King Aelfred of Wessex. Of course, this being an Assassin’s Creed entry, there will likely be some tie-ins to the modern-day story present throughout the series, as well as more on the history of the Templar and Assassins, though what that will be is a mystery for now.

Inclusion of Norse Mythology

One notable moment in the reveal trailer features Eivor seemingly spotting the Norse god Odin on the battlefield, who then transforms into a raven and flies away, a good omen amidst the battle. Does this mean the Norse gods will heavily feature in Valhalla’s story, particularly given the name? While Ismail understandably did not want to explore the story, he said Norse mythology figures and beliefs are certainly part of the game because Eivor’s spirituality, and their belief in these gods, is very much a part of their and the Vikings daily lives. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=assassins-creed-valhalla-box-art-logos&captions=true"] “The Norse beliefs and the Norse mythology was an everyday part of the culture. And this is the way we're approaching it, from a sense of the grounded history of the Vikings and the Norse people,” Ismail said. “We also, we're telling a personal story of Eivor. So Eivor's perspective of the world, this is sort of what's hinted at in that trailer, how Eivor will take a sign or see something and put their own spin on it. “It's an important part of Eivor's journey through this world, but the cue [of Odin in the trailer] was the Norse people, their belief structures, that mythology itself was a part of the everyday life.

Darkborn Cancelled As Developer Moves Onto New Project

Stockholm-based indie studio The Outsiders has halted development on its debut game, Darkborn, and moved on to a new project that it will reveal “very very soon”. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/04/02/darkborn-gameplay-reveal-15-minutes-of-monsters-vikings-and-story"] The developer announced the situation via a statement posted to Twitter. “Last April we released a gameplay trailer for Darkborn, knowing that it might be our final release,” it said. “In spite of our best efforts to continue, ultimately we had to make the difficult decision to halt development on the project.” While Darkborn may be gone (at least for now, The Outsiders has not ruled out returning to it), the studio has something else in the works. “We look forward to being able to share it all with you very very soon.” The studio has offered no hint as to what its new project is, but “very very soon” indicates that a reveal is not far away. Darkhold was revealed by IGN in April last year, and was a stealth action game in which you played as a monster being hunted by Viking-like barbarians. The plan was that your monster would grow from cub to predator over the course of the story, gaining more potent beast powers to make use of when taking your revenge for the slaughter of your family. The Outsiders is a small Swedish studio established by ex-DICE employees David Goldfarb and Benjamin Cousins. Goldfarb was previously game director on Payday 2 at Overkill Software before quitting to set up The Outsiders with his former colleague Cousins. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=darkborn-gameplay-reveal-screenshots&captions=true"] If you’re looking for an indie that lets you play as the monster, then you may be interested in Devolver’s Carrion, due for release this year, which sees you destroy a facility’s worth of scientists and soldiers as you break out of containment. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Producer Promises He's 'Not Drastically Changing The Story'

Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s producer, Yoshinori Kitase, has promised that the team has no intention of making any drastic changes to the original game’s story in subsequent games. Talking as part of an interview for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Ultimania book (translated by Aitaikuji), Kitase said “I’ve talked about this extensively with [co-director Tetsuya] Nomura, but I’m sure fans of the original are expecting to revisit familiar locations and scenes, so we have strong feelings to not stray away from that.” [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/04/06/final-fantasy-7-remake-review"] “From here on out, we’re not drastically changing the story and making it into something completely different than the original,” he added. “Even though it’s a Remake, please assume that FF7 will still be FF7 as usual.” Following on from this, story and scenario writer Kazushige Nojima said “For me, I create scenarios that follow the general flow of the original story but with the assumption that the way things are presented or how events occur might be slightly different.” This news may come as a relief to many players who are worried that their favourite moments from the original game may not feature in future Remake installments. Square Enix has made no secret of the fact that this new version of the Final Fantasy 7 story is expanded and tweaked, but it seems that any changes to be made will not stray away from the familiar narrative. Warning: spoilers for the end of Final Fantasy 7 Remake follow. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=final-fantasy-7-remake-over-100-screenshots&captions=true"] This promise of the Remake project being “FF7 as usual” stands in contrast to what appears to be promised in the finale of Remake. As detailed in our Final Fantasy 7 Remake ending explained feature, the destruction of the Whispers seems to suggest that fate has been eliminated, freeing the writers to stray away from the original story. While it seems like we should expect some further changes, this interview does suggest that the departures won’t be as drastic as many players have feared. In regards to “doubts”, Nomura says “The story will still continue, so I don’t think we can answer much.” He does, however, confirm that Zack is alive. “That’s the biggest highlight of the mysteries that have been set up in this scene, isn’t it? (laughs)” [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/04/10/final-fantasy-7-remake-ending-explained"] Nojima also references the mascot dog Stamp, which in Zack’s scene is a different breed of dog. While not divulging what this means, it is clearly important to the future of this aspect of the story. Our ending explained video presents a theory on what it could be. Further adding to the intrigue is that the Ultimania interview reveals that Remake is officially the fifth part of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, which is made up of the movie Advent Children, mobile game Before Crisis, PSP game Crisis Core, and PS2 game Dirge of Cerberus. That official link lends further reinforcement to fan theories that the Sephiroth present in Remake is actually the Sephiroth from Advent Children, having traveled back in time in an attempt to foil Cloud. The Last of Us Part 2 Download Is 100GB Minimum

The digital download of The Last of Us Part 2 will require at least 100GB of hard-drive space. The game's American store page, includes the space requirement at the bottom amid licensing and copyright details. It was already common knowledge that the physical release of The Last of Us Part 2 would ship on two discs, so it's no surprise that the digital download is sizeable. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2018/06/12/the-last-of-us-part-2-gameplay-trailer-e3-2018"] Red Dead Redemption 2 first brought back the two-disc trend when it launched back in October 2018, but stopped you from having to switch halfway through by including a Data Disc and a Play Disc. Whatever format you go for, make sure you clean up your PS4's storage before release day. It's been a rough week for The Last of Us 2 after major plot points from the game were leaked earlier in the week. Check out our PSA to help you stay clear of spoilers. Amidst the chaos, Sony pegged an updated release date for the game, with The Last of Us Part 2 now launching on June 19th. The game was originally delayed indefinitely due to supply chain problems related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Star Trek: Picard: Jonathan Frakes Confirms He Will Return to Direct in Season 2

Veteran Star Trek actor and director Jonathan Frakes has confirmed that he will be returning to the director's chair for Season 2 of Star Trek: Picard. Speaking on IGN's WFH Theater on Wednesday, Frakes, who reprised Riker on-screen and directed a couple of episodes of Picard's first season, discussed his involvement in the upcoming season of the CBS All Access show, as he revealed that he would be taking command of the camera once again. "I've been asked, so I'm looking forward to it. I can't wait to get back to work," Frakes told IGN in the Live Q&A Watch-Along. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/01/12/star-trek-the-picard-shows-timeline-explained"] Star Trek: First Contact marked Frakes' feature film directorial debut, though he had previously directed multiple episodes of The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager. Frakes' Star Trek directing career continued on from 1998's Star Trek: Insurrection up through the two currently ongoing Star Trek series, Discovery and the TNG-sequel Picard. The Trek vet helmed Episode 4, "Absolute Candor," and Episode 5, "Stardust City Rag," of Picard Season 1. Speaking of the different approach in directing the series, Frakes told IGN, "The shooting style is a little bit different. You've got to keep it cool, though. ... It's not like Next Gen where it was closeup, two shot, closeup, closeup. You know I mean. That s#!t is... That doesn't fly on television anymore!" [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=star-trek-picard-photos&captions=true"] Frakes also made his return to the screen as William Riker in Episode 7, "Nepenthe," and Episode 10, "Et in Arcadia Ego, Part II," of Picard Season 1, although his beloved character almost didn't make it into the episodes at all. If you missed those episodes yourself and need a Star Trek refresher, you can check out our Star Trek: Picard viewing guide that lays out the essential Picard-centric episodes to watch before steaming Star Trek: Picard Season 1 on CBS All Access. Toy Story 4 Director to Helm Animated Transformers Movie

Paramount is moving forward with their long-planned Transformers animated feature, and has reportedly hired Josh Cooley, the director of the Oscar-winning Toy Story 4, to helm it. According to Deadline, the film "takes place on Cybertron, the planet from which the good-guy and bad-guy robots came from. The film revolves around the relationship between Optimus Prime and Megatron." Deadline says the film is separate from the main live-action film series. The script was written by Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari (Ant-Man and the Wasp) several years ago, but now Paramount and Hasbro/eOne have "more or less begun production" on the film. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=dumbest-transformers-movie-moments&captions=true"] One big reason for this Transformers project moving forward now is the coronavirus pandemic, which will complicate the production of live-action films once Hollywood gets back to work due to new health precautions and safety measures that will need to be implemented to keep casts and crews safe. Transformers is no stranger to animation, of course, having spawned a popular cartoon in the 1980s and then launching to the big screen with 1986's The Transformers: The Movie. The Transformers franchise last hit theaters with 2018's period spinoff Bumblebee, which, while the most critically acclaimed film in the franchise, was also its lowest-grossing entry. Overwatch 2: Release Date, Gameplay, Characters, and More

Announced at Blizzcon 2019, Overwatch 2 will not only feature new co-op modes, new maps, and heroes with customization and leveling but will also help build out the story behind the game's beloved heroes. To get players ready for the upcoming sequel to the original, here's a roundup of what we know about Overwatch 2 so far.

What is the Overwatch 2 Release Date?

At the time of writing Overwatch 2 does not have an official release date. When the game was officially announced at BlizzCon 2019, game director Jeff Kaplan said, "We [Blizzard] don't have a date in mind." [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=overwatch-2-gameplay-reveal-screens&captions=true"] In January, a tweet from PlayStation Brazil's Twitter account seemingly revealed that Overwatch 2 would be released on PS4 in 2020. The tweet has since been deleted. However, this was never confirmed by Blizzard and for now, it seems developers aren't offering up any new information about the Overwatch 2 release date.

What Does Overwatch 2 Gameplay Look Like?

Overwatch 2 will reportedly expand the universe through an all-new story-focused PvE mode. This mode aims to bring more of the world and lore that Overwatch has to offer to players, which has been mostly experienced in bits and pieces through cinematic trailers, comics, and occasionally cutscenes via seasonal events. While details about Overwatch 2's story are unclear, it seems to revolve around the ongoing fight between Overwatch and Null Sector, as seen in the Overwatch 2 announcement cinematic Zero Hour. If you're not caught up on Overwatch lore, be sure to check out our recap of the Overwatch story so far. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/11/01/overwatch-the-story-so-far-cinematic-trailer"] Overwatch 2 will also feature a PvP game mode called Push, which has been shown on an all-new map set in Toronto, Canada. Push is a new 6v6 mode in which players will fight for control of a giant robot. Essentially, players need to gain control of the robot, in an effort to push the marker towards the opposing team's base. IGN's Matt Kim was able to go hands-on with Overwatch 2's Push mode at Blizzcon 2019. He said, "The most impressive part of Push is the new Toronto map in which it’s set. The map showcases some of the graphical improvements that are also coming to Overwatch 2, and there’s a noticeable improvement in the visuals just based on the map alone." For more of Matt's thoughts, be sure to check out his Overwatch 2 hands-on preview.

Who Are the New Overwatch 2 Characters?

In November 209, there were reportedly four unannounced heroes teased for Overwatch 2. One of these teased characters could have been Echo but they were recently confirmed to be the last new hero in Overwatch. Jeff Kaplan, the Overwatch game director confirmed this to IGN Nordic, saying, "Yes, currently Echo is the last hero coming to standard Overwatch. The focus for the next couple of heroes will be on Overwatch 2. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/11/01/overwatch-2-gameplay-overview-trailer"] A tease shown at Blizzcon revealed Sojourn as a new hero coming to Overwatch 2. So far, we know Sojourn is from Canada and was featured in an Overwatch seasonal event called Storm Rising as a captain. Fans also noticed her in Ana's origin story as one of the founding members of Overwatch and she was spotted again in a quick flash as a hero on a computer Winston uses to put out a call for help in an animated short called Recall. She will be the first black female hero to join the game. Mystery Science Theater 3000 will return for a live online special this Sunday, May 3, according to the cult show's creator and host Joel Hodgson. Chatting with AV Club, Hodgson revealed that the streaming special Mystery Science Theater 3000 Live Riff-Along will air Sunday, May 3rd, at 6pm ET on the following platforms: Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Pluto TV, Stirr, Xumo, Redbox, and Vizio. It will also include a new short titled Circus Day, while Facebook will provide behind-the-scenes looks at the special. Joining Hodgson will be his fellow self-isolating co-stars Emily Marsh (Emily Crenshaw), Conor McGiffin (Tom Servo), Nate Begle (Crow T. Robot), and Yvonne Freese (as both Mega-Synthia and GPC). Hodgson said the live special will riff on MST3K's own first season episode lambasting the 1969 "moon western" Moon Zero Two. This time, the live show's crew will poke fun at their 1990 counterparts' jokes as they watch along. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2017/07/23/mst3k-new-cast-talks-treading-its-cult-following-ign-access"] “We tend to ignore the first season, because we got so much better the next season—we had a bunch of shows under our belts, so we just improved so much,” Hodgson told AV Club. MST3K originally ran from 1988-1999, spawned a feature film in 1996, and was then was briefly revitalized as a Netflix show featuring a new cast. Hodgson launched The Great Cheesy Movie Circus Tour in 2019.

Will Daredevil Be in Spider-Man 3? Charlie Cox Addresses the Rumor

The rumor mill -- OK, more specifically, filmmaker and fanboy Kevin Smith -- claims that Daredevil may pop up in the forthcoming sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home. But Charlie Cox, the actor who played Daredevil on the MCU Netflix series as well as The Defenders, said if the character is in the film the role won't be played by him. In a chat with ComicBook.com, Cox said he was unaware of the Daredevil/Spidey crossover rumors. "I hadn't heard those rumors, but it's certainly not with my Daredevil. I'm not involved in it," Cox said. He added, "If that's true, it's not with me. It's with another actor." [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=every-netflix-marvel-series-review&captions=true"] That said, Cox went on to express his eagerness to reprise the role and how grateful he was to play Matt Murdock for as long as he did. "Of course, I'd love to keep going. I'd love to be involved with it," Cox said of the third Spidey/MCU movie. Right now, there's not much known about what other MCU characters might appear in the film, which will see Peter Parker dealing with the fallout of the life-altering events from the end of Far From Home. The release of the third Spider-Man movie was recently postponed to November 5, 2021. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/sony-moves-spider-man-movie-dates"] Do you want to see Charlie Cox's Daredevil in the next Spider-Man film? Or perhaps a different Netflix MCU character? Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Massive 15 GB Update Is Hiding a Mystery

There’s a new patch today for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and it clocks in at a whopping 15GB for console players. Along with the usual bug fixes and balance updates, the new patch seems to have added a mysterious item as well. While the latest patch is overwhelmingly about fixes and adjustments, it appears that it added a new item in Warzone that players haven’t quite figured out what to do with. After the update there’s a chance you’ll come across something called the “Red Access Card.” While the in-game icon lists it as a health item, it currently serves no immediate purpose. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=every-ign-call-of-duty-review&captions=true"] The loot item doesn’t provide any new abilities or open any kind of lock just yet, but there’s speculation that this is a teaser for an upcoming event of some kind. Considering the update went live today, it might be some time before we figure out the true purpose of this new item. As a note, Call of Duty players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will need to download a data pack for the new patch. After installing the update, select a mode (multiplayer, campaign, Special Operations, etc.) and players will be taken to an install menu where they can download Data Pack 1. Afterward, they’ll need to hard close and re-open Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/03/09/call-of-duty-warzone-official-trailer"] Here’s a full list of updates in today’s patch via InfinityWard.

Binding of Isaac Creator's Newest Game Fully Funded in 4 Minutes

Tapeworm, the latest game from The Binding of Isaac creator Edmund McMillen, launched its Kickstarter campaign early Tuesday only to immediately reach its funding goal in just four minutes.

After hitting its $25,000 target Tapeworm continued to climb far past it, currently sitting at just over $325k raised at the time of publishing. This isn’t the first time McMillen has found success on Kickstarter either, with The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls card game raising $2.65 million in late 2018.

[widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=first-look-at-tapeworm-by-edmund-mcmillen&captions=true"]

While not related to McMillen’s past games in any way, Tapeworm follows in Four Souls’ footsteps as a multiplayer card game with his signature strange (and unsurprisingly gross) style. In it, players take turns playing and connecting cards to create as long of a worm as they can, which can be manipulated by special effects or even cut off entirely.

In its Kickstarter video, McMillen said he originally came up with the idea for Tapeworm nine years ago, with the focus being on making a card game where spacing and positioning of cards really mattered. He also explained that he wanted it to be “as simple as Uno, but have a good amount of depth," so that it would be accessible to anyone but still strategic.

[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/01/14/return-to-dark-tower-unboxing"]

Tapeworm’s breakneck funding is undoubtedly impressive – multiple stretch goals have already been met, some of which actually add special cards for Four Souls – but it’s also part of a larger trend of success tabletop gaming has found on Kickstarter in recent years. Most recently we covered the Return to Dark Tower Kickstarter in January, which went on to raise over $4 million, and the Kickstarter for Frosthaven (a sequel to the wildly popular Gloomhaven) ends Saturday while on pace to break $10 million.

You can check out Tapeworm on Kickstarter here, but it could be on a path find similar, seven-figure success before its campaign ends in late May. [poilib element="accentDivider"] Tom Marks is IGN's Deputy Reviews Editor and resident pie maker. You can follow him on Twitter.

PS Plus Games for May 2020 Revealed

Sony has announced that Cities: Skylines and Farming Simulator 19 are the PS Plus free games for May 2020. Revealed on the PlayStation Blog, both games will be available for PlayStation Plus subscribers from Tuesday, May 5. They’ll be available to claim until Monday, June 1. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/04/29/playstation-plus-free-games-lineup-may-2020-trailer"] Cities: Skylines is a city builder and management game from strategy legends Paradox Interactive, focused on developing small little communities into a sprawling metropolis. The PlayStation 4 Edition of the game has an overhauled UI and control system, making a genre that has typically been a PC affair into something that works just right on console. Farming Simulator 19, meanwhile, does exactly what it says in the title. Harvest crops, raise livestock, drive around in a bright green tractor (other colours are available) and generally live the life of a farmer. It’s exactly the kind of methodical, peaceful escapism many of us need in our current strange times. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=every-ign-playstation-first-party-exclusive-review&captions=true"] If Cities: Skylines or Farming Simulator 19 are not for you, there’s still time to grab April’s PS Plus games, which include Uncharted 4. Or if you also have an Xbox, then Xbox Games With Gold for May 2020 include V-Rally 4, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr, and a couple more. Hellraid DLC Announced for Dying Light

Hellraid lives! At least as an upcoming DLC pack for Techland’s zombie shooter Dying Light. A new teaser released today announced some kind of Hellraid content is coming to Dying Light this summer. The trailer is short but shows an abandoned hallway right before a demonic arcade cabinet appears from an otherworldly portal. The screen quickly displays the Dying Light logo along with a new subtitle, “Hellraid.” [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/04/29/dying-light-hellraid-dlc-teaser"] Techland confirmed to IGN that this is a paid DLC game mode for Dying Light set in a dark fantasy Hellraid world but featuring Dying Light gameplay. The DLC is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One this summer. Hellraid was a new project for the developer, announced in 2012. A year later Techland announced that the project was “on hold.” The developer confirmed to IGN that today’s announcement is just DLC and that the company is not working on any other Hellraid projects. Developers are still working on Dying Light 2 at its WrocÅ‚aw, Poland studio, as well as an unannounced IP in its Warsaw location. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=18-games-that-seemingly-vanished&captions=true"] Still, when we reached out to Techland for our games that vanished feature, the developer seemed to have a soft spot for the dark fantasy world of Hellraid, so it makes sense the developers are visiting this idea through DLC. Apex Legends Job Listing Points To Next-Gen Release

A new job listing for a position at Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment has revealed that the battle royale is seemingly planning to take the leap to next-gen consoles. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/02/03/apex-legends-season-4-assimilation-gameplay-trailer"] EA’s recruitment website currently features a job listing for a senior rendering engineer at Respawn Entertainment. The job description states that “Respawn is looking for Senior Rendering Engineers to push next-gen platforms and the PC to their limits on Apex Legends.” That’s a pretty clear cut indicator that Apex Legends is set to receive an upgrade for next-generation consoles. The job specification asks for a “shader enthusiast” who enjoys “maintaining or improving visual fidelity”, indicating that Respawn could be looking to improve the graphical quality of Apex Legends for next-gen consoles and PC. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="legacyId=20093211&captions=true"] EA nor Respawn have yet to make any official comment on the possibility of Apex Legends on next-generation consoles. Backwards compatibility is supported by both the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 so theoretically there should be no problem playing the existing version of Apex Legends on the new platforms, but it does appear that Respawn has bigger plans than simply keeping the game as it is. Next Assassin's Creed Setting Being Revealed Today

The setting for the next Assassin's Creed game – rumoured to be set in the Viking era – will be revealed in a stream today. Ubisoft has kicked off a stream hosted by digital artist Bosslogic, who'll create a "unique art piece" that will reveal the setting. We'll be updating this post as the day goes on, noting anything we learn from the art. 5 minutes in, we have a silhouetted figure with clenched fists, and the beginnings of a vibrant sky. You can watch the stream on Twitter, Mixer, YouTube and Facebook and Twitch. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=a-history-of-assassins-creed-leaks&captions=true"] The next Assassin's Creed game is widely rumoured to centre around Vikings, so we could potentially see a Middle Ages setting emerge over the course of the stream – the Viking Age is a time period lasting from 800 CE to 1066 CE. Rumours have suggested that the game is subtitled (or code named) Kingdom or Ragnarok. The Division 2 may have already teased that setting, given it included Assassin's Creed's Apple of Eden artifact placed suspiciously close to the word 'Valhalla'.

If that does turn out to be the case we'd be in favour of that move, as we think a Viking-based game could bring the franchise full circle.

Fortnite Datamine Suggests Non-Combat Event Is on the Way

A new Fortnite datamine has unearthed a new map and what appears to be a Limited Time Mode in which players simply hang out and don’t fight each other. Prolific Fortnite leaker Twitter account ShiinbaBR has posted several Tweets, one of which includes a look at a new map called Papaya, as well as a series of 9 communication emotes that are reportedly designed for the new map. Those emotes include the likes of nodding and shaking your head, waving, sitting, cheering, and waving a phone - all very much non-combat gestures. ShiinbaBR also posted descriptions of two new Limited Time Modes. Party Royale allows players to “hang out with friends, play games, perfect your skydive and more” and asks you to leave your “weapons and mats behind”. Operation Payload is an escort mode with push/stop mechanics, where players can switch roles and choose “tech” each round. The Papaya map image features a variety of location icons that all suggest non-violent activities, such as races, skydiving, soccer, and boating, which may mean these are the things available to do in Party Royale mode. It’s unclear if Operation Payload is a non-violent mode or not, but the description suggests it could favour tech over weapons. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/02/20/fortnite-chapter-2-season-2-top-secret-launch-trailer"] Fortnite’s update 12.50 goes live today, April 29, and so it should not be long before we see these elements materialise (provided ShiinbaBR remains as accurate as they have been). For more from Fortnite, check out its latest event which featured a Travis Scott concert attended by 12.3 million players, and when you can expect Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 3 to begin. Trials of Mana PC Demo Pulled After Players Accessed Full Game

The PC demo for Trials of Mana has been pulled from Steam after an exploit was found that let players access the full game from within. The news was revealed in an announcement post on the Trials of Mana Steam Community page, where the developers didn't address the specifics of the exploit, citing "unforeseen circumstances" as the reason behind taking the demo down. In the comments below, many users are pointing out that hackers were able to bypass the restrictions of the demo to play the full game. There is no mention of a revised release date for the demo, but the developers made note that they "hope to have it back up again very soon." Player progression within the now-pulled demo will be carried over into the new revision, so you can get back to where you left off once Square Enix fixes the exploit. If you own a PS4 or Nintendo Switch, you could play the demo on those platforms instead for the time being. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/04/24/trials-of-mana-launch-trailer"] It's important to note that the game is already available on PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch - it launched on April 24th, last week, and this exploit was caught after the game's release. It's not clear at time of writing how players were using the demo version to play the full game, but many comments make mention of Denuvo anti-tamper, a DRM (digital rights management) solution. This isn't the first instance of a demo being taken down due to an exploit leading players to the full game - back in 2018, Sega was forced to spike the demo for Yakuza 6: The Song of Life from the US PlayStation Store after users were exploiting it to access the full game. For more on Trials of Mana, check out our review, which we called "a great remake of a 16-bit classic." [poilib element="accentDivider"] Jordan Oloman is a freelance writer for IGN.
