Avengers: Infinity War Deleted Scenes Breakdown

Avengers: Infinity War is now available on Digital HD, a home release which includes four deleted scenes among its bonus content. There’s really one truly never-before-seen scene, however, with the other three being extended versions of scenes that ended up in the theatrical release.

Let's go through what happens in each of those four scenes. Spoilers ahead, obviously ...

Running one-minute and twenty-three seconds, this early scene includes a cameo by Iron Man director Jon Favreau, reprising his role as Tony Stark’s harried security chief-flunky-pal Happy Hogan. The scene retains the larger exchange between Tony and his fiancee Pepper Potts in the park talking about Tony’s dream where they had a child named Morgan. The theatrical version of the scene ends with a portal opening and the arrival of Doctor Strange and then Bruce Banner.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - What to Expect from the New Season

Thursday, July 20 will be a day long remembered for Star Wars fans. At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, during the tenth anniversary Clone Wars panel, producer Dave Filoni calmly told a room full of breathless fans that he had a present. As the lights dimmed, those in the room became cautiously enraptured as we were treated to the voice of Captain Rex (voiced by Dee Bradley-Baker), and suddenly the hashtag appeared… #CloneWarsSaved! The atmosphere was electric, and fans roared with excitement, tears, and unabashed jubilation as the all new trailer debuted.

The twelve-episode season will presumably pick up where the series ended in March of 2014, and will run on the upcoming Disney streaming service. And for fans of the Emmy-award winning show, who have lamented its cancelation for years, there is cause for speculation in addition to celebration. What are we going to see? There are a number of threads left out there in the galaxy far, far away that deserve to be untangled, so let’s explore a few.

Riot Explained: Who Is the Marvel Villain in the Venom Movie?

The latest trailer for Sony's Venom movie offers a much better idea of both the general tone of the movie and its storyline. Not only that, it seems to confirm that Riz Ahmed's Carlton Drake will transform into Riot, one of many symbiote villains from the Marvel Universe. (And no, that is not Carnage in the trailer!)

While even casual Marvel fans are probably familiar with Venom at this point, Riot is a much more obscure Marvel character. Here's everything you need to know about Riot and how the movie is drawing from Marvel's comic book universe.

Glass is the Third Act We Always Wanted for Unbreakable

Warning: Spoilers for Unbreakable and Split follow...

Long before the MCU, and even before Sam Raimi's first Spider-Man film, M. Night Shyamalan followed up his massive breakout hit The Sixth Sense with a really solid take on the old "what if superheroes were real?" story.

Unbreakable, starring Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson, didn't reach the heights of Sixth Sense but in looking back, fans still herald it as one of the writer/director's best and most satisfying projects. The way the story unfolded definitely seemed to set up "adventures to come," though it also managed to stand very well on its own, as an isolated island work, without franchise goals. You could certainly imagine Willis' David Dunn continuing his work as Philadelphia's super strong rain-poncho'd vigilante while Jackson's Elijah "Mr. Glass" Price rotted away in a psychiatric care facility...and that was enough for most.

Kick-Ass 2 Director, Blumhouse Team Up For Fantasy Island Movie

Blumhouse and Sony Pictures are teaming up for a feature film of the long-running ABC show Fantasy Island with Jeff Wadlow directing, according to Deadline.

Sony will control the rights to the Aaron Spelling TV series that ran from 1977-1984 with Blumhouse co-financing the film.

Although the original series is known for coming off cheesy, Fantasy Island often dealt with dark themes and the supernatural as visitors went to the island to live out their fantasies. It ran for seven seasons, completing a total of 152 episodes.

Wadlow, known for Kick-Ass 2 recently teamed with Blumhouse on Truth or Dare which grossed $100 million worldwide, having only a $5 million budget. Wadlow will be writing Fantasy Island with his Truth or Dare co-writers, Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs.

Venom Movie's Comic Book Influences Explained

It's safe to say Spider-Man fans have had a fairly mixed reaction to Sony's upcoming Venom movie so far. On the one hand, it's great to see Eddie Brock being given another chance on the big screen. On the other, lots of questions remain about a Spider-Man universe character getting a movie... without Spider-Man.

Still, the movie is definitely drawing inspiration from the source material. The film's director, Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland), has said that it's based mainly on two different comics arcs: Lethal Protector and Planet of the Symbiotes. So let's breakdown how this new Venom movie looks to be adapting Marvel's comics and those stories specifically...

First Look at Netflix's Shapeshifter Drama The Innocents

Teenagers go through a lot of changes, but Netflix's new supernatural series The Innocents is taking those growing pains to another level. The show follows two star-crossed high-schoolers, Harry (Percelle Ascott) and June (Sorcha Groundsell), who run away from their overprotective families to start a new life together, only to discover that June has the power to shapeshift. Unfortunately for them, it's not quite as cool or useful as the X-Men would have us believe - instead, it's a painful, confusing, and traumatic ordeal, and one of many discoveries that June will make about who she is and where she comes from.

Netflix revealed a first look behind the scenes of the atmospheric new drama series over the weekend, which you can check out below.

No, Kingdom Hearts 3's Play Length Has Not Been Confirmed

Despite reports suggesting Kingdom Hearts 3 will have a campaign of around 40-50 hours, and additional content bolstering that number to an estimated 80 hours, Square Enix has not yet actually settled on the final length of the anticipated sequel.

A preview report from Geek.com of Kingdom Hearts 3 published earlier this month suggested those play time estimations had been confirmed. That would make for one of the longest main campaigns in the Kingdom Hearts franchise, and the news of this lengthy play time was reported by a number  of outlets as confirmation of KH3's official length earlier this week.

The company will be increasing its price from $9.95 to $14.95 over the next 30 days in an effort to stay afloat, with MoviePass temporarily running out of money last week. Users will also won't be able to watch new movies within their first two weeks of release.

The service has recently been suffering from widespread outages, with most showings for films not appearing on the app, including Mission: Impossible - Fallout. MoviePass' parent company, Helios and Matheson Analytics, claims these two measures will help reduce its cash burn rate by 60%

Fortnite 5.10 Update Will Add a New Mode and Two Guns

Fortnite's 5.10 update is coming tomorrow at 5 p.m. PDT, and it will include a new mode, a new gun, and the return of an old gun with some modifications.

In a post today, Epic Games detailed 5.10's content. One of the biggest editions is Fly Explosives, a limited-time mode that gives players jetpacks and arms them only with explosive weapons. The jetpacks will be tweaked a bit with increased fuel regeneration rates and decreased fuel burn rates to keep players airborne longer than normal when playing Fly Explosives. Epic is also expecting matches to be shorter than 20 minutes thanks to lowered between-storm wait times to help players quickly find the needed loot.

New NECA Figures Spotlight TMNT, Predator, Aliens and... Golden Girls?

Update 7/31: Check out all the NECA collectibles from this year's SDCC below.

Toymaker NECA has assembled quite an impressive booth at Comic-Con this year. The company is showcasing new action figures and collectibles covering some familiar franchises, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Aliens and Halloween. However, they're also expanding in unexpected directions, with retro-flavored figures based on everything from Ace Ventura: Pet Detective to The Golden Girls.

Check out our slideshow gallery for a closer look at the dozens of new NECA figures on display at Comic-Con.

Both the Alien and Predator franchises are well-represented this year, as always. We're particularly intrigued by the video game-inspired Alien vs. Predator Arcade figures, as well as the early glimpses of NECA's figures for The Predator. On the TMNT front, NECA debuted their latest quarter scale figure based on the 1990 movie, the Foot Soldier, as well as a new set featuring several villains from the Turtles in Time arcade game. And fans of NECA's 8-inch MEGO-style figures will be happy with this year's assortment, with NECA showcasing characters from The Karate Kid, Ace Ventura, The Re-Animator, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and The Golden Girls.

24: FOX Developing Young Jack Bauer Prequel TV Series

It looks like 24 could be returning with a prequel series starring a young Jack Bauer.

The series is in the early phases of development, with creators Joel Surnow and Bob Cochran working alongside showrunner Howard Gordon. Sources close to Variety broke the news, but Fox has since given IGN an official comment.

IGN received this quote directly from Fox:

It is true that longtime “24” showrunner Howard Gordon and the co-creators of the original series Joel Surnow and Bob Cochran are working on an idea for a “24” prequel which would trace the origin story of Jack Bauer. They are writing together. No word on how soon the project could come to fruition... we are not making any official announcements.

Is MoviePass Going Out of Business? Users Report Widespread Outages

With users across the country reportedly not being able to use the service, is MoviePass about to take its final bow?

After MoviePass suffered outages last week after temporarily running out of money, it appears that these troubles are persisting for many users. The most common issue is that most, if not all, showings for films aren't appearing on the app.

This issue prevents users from checking in to movies, though the service's e-ticketing feature is still working for some - this only exists at select theaters, and allows users to order tickets from home and pick them up at the box office. The only locations consistently able to offer showtimes are Landmark Theaters, which MoviePass has a deal with.

Marvel's Iron Fist Season 2 Will Only Have 10 Episodes

Marvel's Iron Fist will have a shorter second season.

Netflix has confirmed to IGN Season 2 of the Marvel series, which premieres on September 7, will only consist of 10 episodes.

This is a departure for Netflix, as most of the company's tent-pole series, including Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Orange is the New Black, and Luke Cage, have remained at 13 episodes. A specific reason for lowering Iron Fist's episode count in its sophomore run hasn't been given.

However, Netflix did recently discuss during the Television Critics Association summer press tour why some of its shows have had pacing issues. Cindy Holland, Netflix's VP of original programming, gave an explanation for why some series still contain 13 episodes with each new season.
