Assassin's Creed Odyssey Reportedly Leaked

Details on the next installment of the Assassin's Creed franchise have reportedly been leaked.

According to French site JeuxVideoLive, via Kotaku, the next installment in the series will be called Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and will take place in ancient Greece. Sources say Assassin's Creed Odyssey will be released before the end of Ubisoft's fiscal year 2019, which ends March 31 of next year.

Odyssey, which will reportedly be a sequel to last year's Assassin's Creed: Origins, is set to be an even more significant departure for the series. While Origins altered the combat, Odyssey will introduce dialogue options, a first for the series.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Tracking to Take in $130M to $150M for Domestic Debut

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is set to take in over $100 million in its domestic debut.

Deadline reports the sequel is currently tracking to make between $130 million to $150 million in its opening weekend. The film hits US theaters on June 22.

For context, the original Jurassic World's pre-week projections had the movie making between $110 million to $140 million in its domestic debut back in 2015. However, the film eventually grossed a then record-breaking $208 million in its opening weekend.

This was eventually surpassed by The Force Awakens later that year, which debuted to an estimated $247 million domestically, according to Box Office Mojo.

Imperator: Rome is Grand Strategy on a Scale We’ve Never Seen Before

The year is 304 BCE, and a scrappy Italian city-state called Rome has not yet begun to even dream of the greatness it will one day achieve. Paradox’s recently announced grand strategy game Imperator: Rome will allow you to rise to the challenge of that war-torn era. Surrounded by a roiling cauldron of barbarian tribes, the ascendant Mediterranean power of Carthage, and the squabbling successor states left behind by the untimely death of Alexander the Great - it's fair to say you'll have your work cut out for you leading Rome (or any of the over 400 playable nations) to dominance.

Paradox Development Studio (known for such grand strategy staples as Crusader Kings II and Stellaris) last tackled the Roman age back in 2008 with Europa Universalis: Rome. But while that was a spin-off, Imperator is the start of a new franchise with its own identity - even if it does borrow a lot from the studio’s other games.

Sesame Street has lost its lawsuit against the R-rated puppet comedy, The Happytime Murders.

Earlier this month, the non-profit behind the beloved children's TV show, Sesame Workshop, filed a lawsuit against the movie for using the Sesame Street brand to promote the film's violent and raunchy message. This specifically included the use of the tagline, "No sesame. All street."

Per THR, US District Judge Vernon Broderick has now officially ruled in favor of the creators behind the movie, STX Productions.

What the Life Cycles of Previous PlayStations Say About the PlayStation 5

Buy a hot new game system, and you’ll see an even better model the next day. That’s the stuff of lazy sitcom jokes, yet there’s an undeniable rhythm to the seemingly brief lives of game consoles. Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO John Kodera recently mentioned that the PlayStation 4 is in its “final life cycle,” prompting many to point out that the system isn’t even five years old.

We may complain, but it’s all part of the process. Sony follows the time-honored practice of piping up about a new system just as the current one hits its stride and the competition gets fierce. Yet if there’s a common thread in the PlayStation family, it’s one of dignified exits for old systems and overhyped entrances for the newcomers. Here's what the life cycles of the previous four PlayStations possible tell us about the PlayStation 5.

ABC Reportedly Looking Into Roseanne Spin-Off

There's a long shot that ABC will try to salvage the Roseanne reboot without the titular star.

EW reports the network is exploring the idea of a new show with Roseanne's co-stars, like John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf and Sara Gilbert. However, a noted issue is that Roseanne Barr created the characters with Matt Williams, so she would see financial upside with a spin-off.

ABC canceled Roseanne earlier this week, after Barr made a racist comment on Twitter toward former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett. ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey called the statement "abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values."

WWE SmackDown to Remain Live on FOX Despite Move to Friday

We still have a lot of questions regarding the WWE/FOX deal that will bring SmackDown to the FOX network in fall of 2019. Once it was noted that FOX was likely to air WWE's Blue Brand on Fridays, many wondered what that would mean with regards to the show being live as WWE's production schedule forever has been to tape SmackDown on Tuesday nights, the day after RAW, regardless of what night SmackDown aired on at the time.

"SmackDown Live," as the series is called right now, is a fairly new branding as the show switched from Syfy Thursdays to USA Tuesdays back in January of 2016.

Every IGN Fallout Review

Today's announcement of Fallout 76 got us all misty-eyed about all the Fallout games we've covered here at IGN. It's unfortunate that IGN hadn't caught on to the wisdom of covering PC games when the first Fallout arrived in 1997, but we were on the case by the arrival of Fallout 2 in 1998. And between the four "main" games (and New Vegas), their many DLC packs, and the various spinoffs, we've got a catalog of more than 20 reviews to look back on so we can see the impact they had at the moment our critics first experienced these post-nuclear (mostly) roleplaying games.

So suit up, find a companion, and journey into the history of IGN's Fallout reviews below.

How Fallout 3 Teases Where Fallout 76 May Be Set

Bethesda revealed Fallout 76, the latest entry in its RPG series, with a brief teaser trailer and very few details about the game. But thanks to the franchise's past, we may already have an idea of where Fallout 76 is set.

Yes, the teaser trailer opens with John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads," which mentions West Virginia, and it's very likely Fallout 76 could be set there. However, the game may extend outside the boundaries of just a single state, given some details from Fallout 3.

Where is Fallout 76 set?

A Vault-Tec terminal in Fallout 3's Citadel gives us a pretty solid idea for 76's location. The info on Vault 76 in the Citadel computer can be found under a section called “DC Area Vault Listings,” which is about as clear as it gets. Washington D.C., or at least that general vicinity if Bethesda doesn’t want Fallout 76 to exactly share a map with Fallout 3, may very likely be where some of the game is set.

Epic Games released the latest Fortnite patch this morning adding the Shopping Cart and consumable mushrooms, but a datamine of the update reveals new skins, emotes, gliders, and harvesting tools are on their way.

FLCL Recap: Everything You Need to Know Before Progressive Premieres

With so many years between now and its 2003 Adult Swim debut, FLCL feels more like a bizarre dream for those of us who only caught an episode here and there.  Even dedicated viewers couldn't always make sense of Naota and Haruko’s wild adventures, but that didn’t stop the show from becoming a cult classic that fans continue to enjoy even today.

As production company Gainax moved on to other projects it seemed that the six-episode series would live on in isolation forever, that is until partner company Production I.G. bought the rights to FLCL from Gainax in 2015. Less than a year later, not one, but two sequel series were announced, the first of which (FLCL: Progressive) is set to release on June 2.

Fallout 76 Announced

Bethesda has teased a new Fallout game, Fallout 76.

Bethesda has been teasing the announcement since yesterday and, on a stream today, Bethesda Game Studios director Todd Howard appeared to introduce the game, and explained that there would be more at E3.

It's not yet clear what kind of game Fallout 76 will be, or which of Bethesda's studios has been involved in developing it.

The titular Vault 76 has previously been mentioned but never seen in previous Fallout games. A "control vault" containing 500 occupants, living in Vault 76 doesn't appear to involve the cruel experiments most Vaults in the series have been known for.

Hands-On With Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion

Splatoon 2 has seen a fair share of free content updates since its initial release last summer. There's no doubt that Nintendo has been relentlessly hard at work keeping the game feeling fresh with new weapons, stages, and gear, not to mention a healthy amount of balance tweaks to the game itself. Now, as year three quickly approaches, the first paid DLC for the game is finally on its way and comes in the form of Octo Expansion.

In every other mode of Splatoon 2, you play as your very own custom Inkling known only as Agent 4. You’re on the job for Salmon Run, you’re the one splatting away in Turf Wars, and you’re the hero in Hero Mode. But, that’s not the case in the Octo Expansion - players will assume the role of Agent 8, an Octoling who wakes up with amnesia in a strange subway station that's connected to a series of research facilities hidden under the city.

Fox chairman Gary Newman gave a pretty straightforward reason for why Lucifer was canceled, according to Deadline: he boiled it down to "a ratings-based decision."

"We felt like performance-wise, we needed to make that change," Newman added.

My demo picked up shortly after the 2016 demo ended, in the shoes of Arthur, the same chap we already know from the last demo.
