During Opening Night Live at gamescom 2020, Tarsier Studios premiered Little Nightmares 2 gameplay. The gameplay trailer begins with a new character wandering various, desolate locales with a partner character. Along the way, the two characters work together to solve physics-based puzzles as the world gets progressively more terrifying. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/08/27/little-nightmares-2-gameplay-trailer"] Announced at gamescom 2019, Little Nightmares 2 continues the journey started in the first game which we called one of the scariest horror games of this generation. It will include the original protagonist Six but also introduces a new character named Mono who is set to be the main focus. The two characters will explore a location called the "Signal Tower" that Tarsier Studios' Senior Narrative Designer Dave Mervik says is the center of the story. Little Nightmares 2 is set to be released on February 11, 2021 and will launch on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. A release date for next-gen systems will be announced at a later date. Check out our gamescom 2020 schedule for all the other reveals planned for the show.
