Warner Bros. Japan and Toho are partnering to co-produce a live-action film based on the popular anime and manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, 13 Assassins director Takashi Miike is on board to helm the movie, which will release sometime in summer 2017. Warner Bros. Japan and Toho are planning for a worldwide distribution.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure centers around the stories of the Joestar family and their battles against supernatural forces with their own own special powers. The film adaptation will star Kento Yamazaki as the series' main character, Josuke Higashikata.
