Westworld's Sunday night debut drew in a reported 3.3 million viewers, making it HBO's most-watched series premiere since True Detective in 2014.
According to TV by the Numbers, the premiere's first airing likely accounted for over 2 million of those viewers, with the rest coming from its two other airings and "early viewing" on HBO Go/HBO Now. The report notes it's unclear whether or not True Detective's premiere numbers accounted for streaming data, meaning viewership for the Nic Pizzolatto-created series may have been higher.
For additional context, compared to Westworld's 3.3 million viewers, recent HBO series Vinyl and The Night Of each premiered to just over 750,000 viewers each. Game of Thrones' 2011 premiere, meanwhile, drew in 4.2 million total viewers.
