Super Mario Run, the autorunner iOS game announced by Shigeru Miyamoto during last month's Apple event, will launch in 150 countries, Nintendo has revealed. According to the company, over 20 million people have signed up to be notified about its launch.
"Previously, we announced that we would be releasing Super Mario Run in more than 100 countries, but we can now say that we plan to release this title in approximately 150 countries for iPhone and iPad in December," Nintendo said during a presentations to investors.
Nintendo also reiterated the pricing of Super Mario Run, stating that while it will be free to download, players must pay to unlock the full game, with no additional fees after that. An Android version is also in development. Nintendo did not announce a release date or price point for either the iOS and Android versions of Super Mario Run just yet.
