Space Force First Trailer Gives Steve Carell an Impossible Mission

Netflix has released the first trailer for Space Force, the new comedy starring and co-created by Steve Carell, along with The Office creator Greg Daniels. The trailer features Carell as General Mark R. Naird, who’s put in charge of the USA’s new Space Force military branch. It’s a concept inspired by the formation of the United States Space Force, set up in 2019 by President Trump.

The trailer features Carell coming to terms with this seemingly impossible and outrageously expensive new mission, alongside a star-studded cast that includes John Malkovich (Places in the Heart, In the Line of Fire), Diana Silvers (Booksmart), Tawny Newsome (Bajillion Dollar Properties), Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation), and Lisa Kudrow (Friends). Carell’s role on Space Force - which includes executive producer and co-creator, alongside star - will reportedly command a new salary record, likely in excess of $1million per episode.
