Jurassic World 3: Will We See Dinosaurs in Snow?

Director Colin Trevorrow's set photo tweet from Jurassic World: Dominion has kicked geek speculation into high gear, even though the photo in question contains no shots of dinosaurs in it. Is the director teasing that his sequel will feature dinosaurs in the snow? (It should be noted that production on Jurassic World: Dominion is currently on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, so this set photo was taken before filming was halted on March 13.) The image, seen below, features Trevorrow on the set of the third Jurassic World movie (the post was retweeted by the official Jurassic World account), directing a scene featuring actress Isabella Sermon as a now older Maisie Lockwood. Could this scene take place at Owen Grady's remote cabin from Fallen Kingdom? Photo courtesy of Colin Trevorrow[/caption] Fallen Kingdom saw the destruction of Isla Nubar and the escape of various surviving dinosaurs into the outside world. Whether Jurassic World: Dominion will actually show dinosaurs in the snow remains to be seen, the film does promise to depict dinosaur-human encounters in a variety of situations and settings new to the franchise (as Trevorrow teased in his Jurassic World short film Battle at Big Rock). Jurassic World: Dominion will unite the current trilogy's Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson and Omar Sy with the original trilogy's stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum (who made a cameo in Fallen Kingdom).
