The Entertainment Software Association has formally announced dates for a “reimagined” E3 in 2021, following the cancellation of E3 2020, and IGN's own announcement of its Summer of Gaming event. E3 2021 will be held from June 15 to June 17, 2021.
According to GamesIndustry.biz, the ESA sent out the news to industry partners late Friday.
E3 2020 was officially cancelled on March 11 due to concerns over the COVID-19/coronavirus and the ensuing shelter-in-place orders that various state governments have issued, including Los Angeles, California, where E3 is held each year.
