What We Do In the Shadows: Season 3 Details Revealed

What We Do In the Shadows had a hilarious panel at Comic-Con@Home today, which was featured as part of IGN's Comic-Con 2020 livestream. Before the panel, executive producer Paul Simms spoke to IGN and revealed a number of story details for Season 3 of the show. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/07/26/what-we-do-in-the-shadows-official-panel-comic-con-2020"] Spoilers for Season 2 of What We Do in the Shadows follow - beware! Simms was asked what he could reveal about the next installment of the vampire mockumentary series, and replied with four new plot details:
  • "We've never seen Nandor with a serious love interest - that might come up."
  • "The fact that last season ended with them almost dying, but Guillermo killing all the other vampires around them definitely is going to have a ripple effect on their standing in the vampire community."
  • "I think some old faces that we might have forgotten about - if you watched Season 2 and said 'boy that's a loose end that they never tied up' - will rear its head in a fun way."
  • "They get a Hellhound to protect the house."
It was more than our own Sydnee Goodman was expecting to hear as a response - and it turns out that was the same for Simms: "That was more than I thought I was going to say, but whatever. It's for the Comic-Con fans - the Comic-Con fans were so nice to us when we went to Comic-Con last year, that that's a special treat for them." We recently watched some Season 2 episodes with the cast of the show, and we learned quite how much they geeked out over Mark Hamill when he was on-set. We have so much more to come from Comic-Con this year - you can check out the full schedule in our rundown of how to watch Comic-Con@Home on IGN Live.
