Logan to Reportedly Feature Major X-Men Universe Cameo

If a new report is to be believed, the Merc with a Mouth could be making an appearance in 2017's Logan, the forthcoming Wolverine film starring Hugh Jackman.

TheWrap reports Ryan Reynolds has filmed a scene as Deadpool that will appear in Logan. According to the site, the scene will likely end up as a post-credits tag. Deadpool 2 director David Leitch reportedly directed the Deadpool scene for the film. IGN has reached out to Fox for comment.

Fox's 2016 hit firmly established Deadpool as part of the studio's X-Men universe, though Reynolds' character never actually encountered any of the existing characters in the franchise. He picks up X-Men sidekicks Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Colossus at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, and has several fourth wall-breaking scenes, including one where he asks if the "Professor" Colossus mentions is "McAvoy or Stewart."
