New Mutants: Death Note Star Nat Wolff Rumored to Star

20th Century Fox's upcoming X-Men spin-off New Mutants will reportedly star Nat Wolff as Cannonball.

According to ComingSoon.net, "sources close to the production" have revealed that Wolff, who starred in Paper Towns and will play the lead in the upcoming Death Note movie, is being eyed for the role of Sam Guthrie. In the comics, Guthrie (aka Cannonball) has the ability to fly at jet speeds while surrounded by an impenetrable force field.
