The Revenant Wins Five BAFTAS

The Revenant was the big winner at this year's BAFTAs, winning for director (Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu), actor (Leonardo DiCaprio), cinematography and sound, as well as the big one, best film.

Mad Max: Fury Road picked up four awards - costume design, production design, make-up & hair, and editing.

Oustanding British film went to Brooklyn, best animated film was Inside Out, and best documentary Amy.

Brie Larson was named best actress for her performance in Room, Kate Winslet best supporting actress for Steve Jobs, and Mark Rylance took home supporting actor for Bridge of Spies.

In the writing categories, Spotlight won the original screenplay award and The Big Short took home adapted.
