Splatoon's Official Chat Headset Is Cool, Complicated

Peripheral maker Hori has introduced the first solution to Nintendo Switch chat by way of an official Splatoon 2 headset.

Splatoon 2, like any good team-based shooter, requires careful collaboration between squadmates to ensure victory. Much like getting your teammates to coperate with one another, there's a bit of work involved when it comes to the headset.

Japanese site Ninten-Switch has photos of the new headset, along with its cool but complex squid splitter. Switch chat is supported by a smartphone app, not part of the Switch itself, so there are three connections involved: the headphones to the splitter, the splitter to a smartphone, and another lead to the Switch itself.

Warner Bros. May Sue Universal Over its Dark Universe

Warner Bros. is reportedly considering legal action against Universal over its 'Dark Universe' monster movie franchise.

Last week it was announced that Universal Pictures' classic monsters shared universe is now officially known as the 'Dark Universe' franchise, and THR reports that Warners is "mulling" legal action (via a studio source), as its very own 'Dark Universe' banner encompasses its upcoming Justice League Dark movie - currently working-titled Dark Universe - and a series of comic books.  You can see how it might get...confusing.
