MotorStorm buggy races into DriveClub for free

Wompat Typhoon available now on PlayStation Store.

The buggy arrives two weeks after it was first teased on the Japanese PlayStation Blog, and lets players race around DriveClub’s circuits in the fan-favourite off-road vehicle.

A new Lunatics Expansion Pack featuring new Tour Events based around the buggy is also rumoured to be in development, with a release possibly due later this month.

StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void closed beta now live; invites going out today

Play PvP and co-op/competitive multiplayer mode Archon in today’s beta.

To see if you’ve been selected, either check your inbox for an email from Blizzard or head to the ‘In Development’ area of the Battle.net desktop app. If you’re chosen you should see a Beta: Legacy of the Void option under StarCraft 2’s region selection drop-down menu.

Once you’ve received your invite, you can begin playing by logging into your Battle.net account, heading to the Games and Codes area, and downloading the beta from ‘Download Clients’.

The beta will introduce three new maps to the StarCraft 2 universe, including Ruins of Seras, Lerilak Crest and Orbital…

Poor behaviour in children not linked to violent video games, study finds

Time spent playing has a greater impact than the type of games played.

According to research carried out by the University of Oxford, children who play games for more than three hours a day “are more likely to be hyperactive, get involved in fights and not be interested in school”.

But that isn’t a result of playing violent video games, the university suggests, who says that it could not find any link “between playing violent games and real-life aggression or a child’s academic performance”.

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, India and Russia all in development at Climax.

The game will release digitally in Europe on April 22 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, with Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India and Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia both due to follow by autumn 2015.

All three games are being created by Silent Hill: Shattered Memories developer Climax Studios in collaboration with Ubisoft Montreal, and promise to deliver a new 2.5D “tension-filled stealth” experience inspired by games in the Metroidvania genre.
