Telltale Games: Switch a 'Perfect Match' for the Studio

If recent comments from Telltale Games are any indication, Switch owners can expect plenty of support from the adventure game developer for Nintendo's console in the future.

"Nintendo Switch is a perfect match for Telltale," creative communications head Job Stauffer told MCV at Gamescom. According to Stauffer, "no series is out of the question" for a Switch port, and the studio is "looking backwards and forwards" in their portfolio when considering what to bring to the platform.

"To say we're steering away from other content because the audience isn't there isn't true," he explained. Stauffer said the studio isn't in a hurry to release The Walking Dead for Switch just yet, "because looking into earlier seasons might require some additional effort to bring our content up to speed and up to Nintendo's standards."

Why Burger King Russia Is Trying to Ban Stephen King's IT

Burger King Russia is attempting to ban Stephen King's IT from the country, due to perceived similarities between Pennywise and Ronald McDonald.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the fast food company filed a complaint with Russia's Federal Anti-Monopoly Service, suggesting IT should no longer be shown in Russian theaters. Burger King claims the blockbuster horror movie doubles as advertising for McDonald's because of the aforementioned similarity between the film and restaurant chain's mascot.

The service issued a response to THR, saying while they'll evaluate whether or not IT includes advertising or product placement, it "can't be concerned with the content of the film because the writer and director have their own creative understanding of any character."

Red Dead Redemption 2 Story, New Protagonist Revealed

Rockstar has released a new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2. It reveals the first official details about the game's story, which will be a prequel, and star a new character, Arthur Morgan - not John Marston.

Rockstar describes the game as "the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they rob, fight and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America in order to survive."

The Van der Linde gang is also known as Dutch's Gang, which the last game's protagonist, John Marston would eventually join (and leave).

The trailer shows what looks like several activities, including hunting, breaking horses, bank and train robberies and, yes, lots and lots of violence.

Celebrate TNG's 30th with These Awesome Trek Moments

Note: We've updated this story for TNG's 30th anniversary.

Captain Picard, Will Riker, the Enterprise-D and all the rest of it (but not Ten Forward -- that wouldn't come until a year later!) first hit our not so big, and definitely not flat screen TVs 30 years ago today. On September 28, 1987, "Encounter at Farpoint," the premiere episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, aired -- and what a long, strange (and occasionally cheesy) trip it's been.

I remember that fateful day, watching the premiere and trying to like the show more than I really did. But while TNG clearly had room for improvement in its first couple of seasons, improve itself it eventually did, like one of the Federation's perfect, cheerful, pull-yourself-up-by-the-Starfleet-issued-bootstraps citizens. And when it did, it became awesome.
