Resident Evil 7’s free Not a Hero DLC has been delayed.
The DLC was originally scheduled for a Spring 2017 release, but due to not meeting expectations Capcom has decided the best course of action is to delay the DLC until it’s up to the standard fans expect.
Speaking in a video to fans, Resident Evil 7 director Masachika Kawata and producer Koshi Nakanishi both explained the situation as so:
“We were working very hard to get the DLC ready in time for the Spring release, and we got close to completing the game content,” says Kawata. “Our aim is for this content is to match the high quality of the main game, so we need more development time in order to achieve that goal.”
