The upcoming Purge TV series will focus on what life is like on non-purge nights.
Series creator James DeMonaco revealed, during NBC's upfront presentation (via Entertainment Weekly), that the series will show how this purge law affects America during the other "normal" 364 days of the year. DeMonaco believes this idea can't be properly pulled off in a 95-minute Purge movie.
"What’s great about Purge TV is that the ten hours they’ll be giving us, it allows us to explore character, why someone on this night would do something so heinous as pick up a gun or a knife and do something," said DeMonaco .
