Dwayne Johnson on the Future of the G.I. Joe Movie Franchise

Dwayne Johnson has a few thoughts on where the G.I. Joe movie franchise should head next.

In an interview with CinemaBlend, Johnson revealed he has talked with Paramount about the series' future and that he believes the studio should create a shared cinematic universe with other Hasbro properties, including Transformers and M.A.S.K.

"Now, we've made two G.I. Joes," said Johnson. "What they can do is phenomenal, right? When you think about M.A.S.K., and you think about G.I. Joe, and you think about the world that they can build out."

However, Johnson isn't ready to fully commit to reprising his role as Roadblock, who first appeared in the second G.I. Joe movie, 2013's Retaliation. "I loved working in that movie and the franchise, and if I didn't do it again, I'm great with them, and I wish them the best of luck," said Johnson. "But I do hope they build it out really nicely, and I think they can."
