Microsoft Shares New Details on Phantom Dust Remaster

New details about Microsoft's upcoming Phantom Dust remaster have been revealed.

Speaking to Polygon, creative director Adam Isgreen discussed some of the changes that have been made to the 2004 Xbox original, confirming its single-player campaign progression has been updated, allowing players to skip any mission after failing it three times.

Microsoft also plans to release both free and paid DLC that makes Phantom Dust more accessible. In fact, there will be a free download for those who want to start the game right off the bat with a large array of cards and skills they can take with them into multiplayer. That said, Isgreen noted the overall progression of the remaster hasn't been changed in a way that would push players to purchase DLC.
