Deadpool Animated Series Announced for FXX

FXX has ordered an untitled Deadpool "adult action-comedy" animated series, set to debut in 2018.

The 10-episode first season is executive produced by Atlanta's Donald Glover and Stephen Glover, who will also serve as showrunners and writers on the upcoming show.

No plot details or casting announcements were made at this time. The untitled Marvel's Deadpool series will also be executive produced by Marvel's Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory and be produced by Marvel Television, FX Productions, and ABC Signature Studios. This series will mark the second Marvel TV series for the FX family of channels, with Noah Hawley's Legion having premiered earlier this year on FX.

"Donald Glover is an incredibly gifted and versatile artist who’ll bring the untitled Marvel’s Deadpool series to life with the same intense, singular vision as his breakout hit Atlanta," said Nick Grad, co-president of original programming for FX Networks and FX Productions.
