The best cheap gaming keyboard is the Corsair K55 (See it on Amazon / Amazon UK). It has all the features you want in a gaming keyboard: solid build quality, nifty lighting, and a low cost. We crowned the Corsair K55 the King of the cheap gaming keyboards after thoroughly testing and reviewing a variety of the top models in this class of hardware. It's not a keyboard with mechanical switches, but you're not going to find any of those in the "budget" realm, as those darn switches inevitably raise the price far beyond what we consider affordable (around $50). These days keyboard manufacturers offer both mechanical switch keyboards for the well-heeled, and membrane switch models for those who are saving up their money to buy a GPU, and the good news for gamers is these keyboards share a lot of the same features, aside from the switches of course.
