10 years after its release, acclaimed video game documentary The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters is being adapted into a stage musical by original director Seth Gordon.
The movie - which focused on the real-life acrimony between two competitive Donkey Kong players, Billy Mitchell and Steve Wiebe - has long been rumoured to be turned into a more conventional biopic, but the reality seems to be a little less expected:
Speaking to IGN at a junket for his new Baywatch reboot, Gordon responded to a question about a new adaptation by saying: "Yeah, some scripts have been written - we're actually working on a musical right now, which is pretty great."
