New Thief Sequel Rumours Quashed by Developer

Eidos Montreal has poured cold water on speculation that a fifth Thief game is in the works.

A since-removed statement on the website of Straight Up Films - the studio behind the upcoming Thief movie - stated that a new multiplatform game was in development to be released alongside its film project.

Eidos Montreal head of studio, David Anfossi has now ridiculed the idea:

Apparently we’re developing Thief 5 game! So now we have a title... We just have to build a team,a budget... Forget it! @EidosMontreal http://pic.twitter.com/suiAgcK7sU
