A new trailer for Stephen King's It debuted this weekend, providing a new glimpse at director Andrés Muschietti's horrifying remake.

Check out the slideshow below to see 40 images from the trailer, which released during the MTV Movie and TV Awards on Sunday night.

Bill Skarsgård stars as Pennywise in the upcoming remake, which opens in theaters on September 8. In addition to Skarsgård, the film's cast includes Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer and Nicholas Hamilton.
