With swamp messiah/eater of worlds/buzzard king Bray Wyatt set to defend the WWE Championship against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 33 -- live this Sunday, April 2nd -- we thought we'd flip back through the rolodex (reference to old thing!) of past WWE Champs and pick put the most unconventional and unlikely guys to ever hold WWE's top strap.
Now, these aren't all grim, ghoulish, monsters like Bray Wyatt, as "monster gimmick" wrestlers very rarely held the world gold -- save for Undertaker and Kane -- but they are performers who, for varying reasons, broke the particular mold at the time for what was considered an apex champion.
