Thrones of Britannia Is the Most Detailed Total War Yet

It is 878 AD and Ireland is beset from without and within. Our shores swarm with viking raiders and settlers who have established themselves at the newly-built port town of Dublin. The land stands divided between many clan chiefs and petty kingdoms. As Flann Sinna of Mide, it is my destiny to rise above the chaos and become one of the first historically-recognized High Kings of Ireland.

...Aaaand I’m dead. Having charged my retinue valiantly into the infantry line of the rebels plaguing my outlying villages, I am quickly reminded that we’re not in the Warhammer world of epic fantasy heroes and immortal mummy pharaohs anymore when a lucky javelin throw brings down my glorious monarch. Quite on the contrary, Thrones of Britannia is shaping up to be among the most gritty and intimate Total War games to date.
