Star Wars: Episode IX director J.J. Abrams has confirmed a script for the film is complete.
"We have a script, which is a big deal for me," Abrams said on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. When asked when about the start of production, he replied, "It's starts shooting end of July."
Abrams added, "Having a script in advance isn't something I've always been lucky enough to have... but I'm writing this with Chris Terrio, who's a genius, and I'm having a great time."
Abrams, took over as director of Episode IX last year after Colin Trevorrow was dropped from the project. According to Abrams, the chance to conclude the trilogy "was too delicious of an opportunity to pass up."
