Nintendo has announced new policy that restricts livestreaming of its games on YouTube.
The announcement was originally made in an email to members of its Nintendo Creators Program, which gives members rights to monetize videos of Nintendo games on YouTube as long as they meet specific guidelines.
It would appear that these rules no longer extend to YouTube Gaming Livestreams, which the email says "fall outside the scope of the Nintendo Creators Program."
To add to the confusion, Nintendo points out that Nintendo Creators are free to create a second account to livestream its games on, or otherwise remove themselves from the Creators Program and register their videos for manual review.
