Lynda Carter, who helped popularize the character of Wonder Woman with her portrayal of the Amazonian on 1970s television, has taken James Cameron to task for his recent comments on Wonder Woman.
Cameron, the director of such films as Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Avatar, has been quite critical of the recent Wonder Woman film directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot.
Cameron called the Wonder Woman of Jenkins' film a "step backwards" for female representation. After getting backlash for his statement, Cameron stood his ground in terms of his criticism, particularly in comparison to his own character of Sarah Connor, as portrayed by Linda Hamilton.
