Injustice 2 Patch Fixes Issues Caused by Prior Patch

NetherRealm has released a new patch for Injustice 2 that fixes the issues introduced by the recently released version 1.10 update.

In a post on Twitter, NetherRealm confirmed "a patch is now available for both PlayStation and Xbox users to address the deletion of Gear."

Many users who updated to the 1.10 patch a few days ago discovered missing items from their save files. NetherRealm acknowledged the issue several days ago in a post on the WB Games support website, recommending that those experiencing issue try and reboot the game to recover any Gear earned before September 25.

How Marvel's Inhumans Connects to Agents of SHIELD

This article contains full spoilers for Marvel's Inhumans. Make sure to read IGN's review of Marvel's Inhumans: The First Chapter.

Marvel's Inhumans: Season 1 might not be leading up to a point where Black Bolt faces down with Daisy Johnson, but ABC's other TV series featuring a cast of Inhumans, Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, has a very important impact on this new series.

Agents of SHIELD introduced the concept of Inhumans into the MCU when Skye unwittingly underwent a Terrigenesis transformation back in Season 2. The season ended with a box of Terrigen crystals falling into the ocean, infecting Earth's water supply and fish population and then setting off a string of Terrigenesis transformations across the globe, spawning a whole bunch more Inhumans.

Flashpoint's Iris West May Come from a Different Time Period

Kiersey Clemons, who will star as Iris West in Flashpoint, discussed her role in the upcoming DC film, hinting at the possibility of her character coming from a different time period.

Speaking to ET Online, Clemons said that "because of going back and forth past and future with The Flash, you don't even know what time period you actually meet Iris." According to the actress, they're still deciding how to develop her character and handle her relationship with The Flash/Barry Allen in the movie.

Clemons also discussed the status of the movie, saying, "We're in the process of still replacing our director. We just got a new script." Last year, director Rick Famuyiwa exited the project, which Clemons previously said she found "very upsetting," as his involvement was a major reason she wanted to do the film.

Marvel's Inhumans Is Still Bad Even With Extra TV Footage

Marvel’s Inhumans debuted in IMAX theaters earlier this month, and tonight the show debuted on television. The IMAX version combined the first two episodes into a movie, whereas ABC ran the first pair of episodes back-to-back as a two-part premiere. It was revealed ahead of release that the TV version would have about 10 minutes of extra footage, so here’s a breakdown of what’s different and whether it changes the quality of the show.

Warning: this article contains spoilers for the first two episodes of Inhumans!

The only noticeable difference is an extra storyline featured only in the TV version. Remember when Gorgon stomped on the moon rover with his hoof? It turns out that a glimpse of his hoof was noticed by a human scientist named Louise (Ellen Woglom), who was monitoring the rover’s camera feed. She works at a private aerospace company as their space and lunar expert. Spurred on by curiosity, she investigates what we know to be the Inhumans who live on the moon inside the city of Attilan.

Nintendo Blocks Its YouTube Affiliates From Livestreaming Its Titles

Nintendo has announced new policy that restricts livestreaming of its games on YouTube.

The announcement was originally made in an email to members of its Nintendo Creators Program, which gives members rights to monetize videos of Nintendo games on YouTube as long as they meet specific guidelines.

It would appear that these rules no longer extend to YouTube Gaming Livestreams, which the email says "fall outside the scope of the Nintendo Creators Program."

To add to the confusion, Nintendo points out that Nintendo Creators are free to create a second account to livestream its games on, or otherwise remove themselves from the Creators Program and register their videos for manual review.

What Is and Isn't in FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch

FIFA 18 marks the long-running soccer franchise’s return to Nintendo systems after an absence since 2014. But the return of EA’s series, now on the NIntendo Switch, isn’t without its drawbacks.

EA has previously disclosed that FIFA 18 wouldn’t be feature-complete when compared to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, as well as that it’s not running on EA’s internal Frostbite engine. With the game now out, and headlining one of Switch’s most-packed release weeks yet, we have a clearer picture of what is — and what isn’t — included in the Switch version of FIFA 18, as well as some explanation from previous EA interviews about these features’ respective absences.

Elon Musk Plans Mars Rocket, City-to-City Rocket Travel

Elon Musk wants to fly you to Mars, the Moon, or NYC, all using the same rocket.

Musk, whose SpaceX and Tesla companies have evolved from pie-in-the-sky ideas to private space flight and auto-piloting car realities, announced the plans in a speech in Adelaide, Australia.

The rocket system would have more room onboard than an Airbus A380 commercial airliner and travel at a maximum speed of 17,000 mph. Trips from New York City to London would take just 29 minutes.

"If we’re building this thing to go to the moon and Mars, why not go other places as well?" Musk asked, according to The Washington Post.

Lynda Carter Tells James Cameron To "Stop Dissing" Wonder Woman

Lynda Carter, who helped popularize the character of Wonder Woman with her portrayal of the Amazonian on 1970s television, has taken James Cameron to task for his recent comments on Wonder Woman.

Cameron, the director of such films as Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Avatar, has been quite critical of the recent Wonder Woman film directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot.

Cameron called the Wonder Woman of Jenkins' film a "step backwards" for female representation. After getting backlash for his statement, Cameron stood his ground in terms of his criticism, particularly in comparison to his own character of Sarah Connor, as portrayed by Linda Hamilton.

Opinion: Marvel Legacy Is No DC Rebirth

Stop me if you've heard this one before. A popular publisher of superhero comics has hit a prolonged rough patch after years of questionable storytelling decisions and declining sales. In order to turn things around, they steer ahead with a massive relaunch that aims to both honor the company's powerful legacy and embrace a brighter, more exciting future. That relaunch kicks off with a special one-shot comic that introduces some huge plot twists, brings fan-favorite characters back into the spotlight and features fourth wall-breaking narration by a long-absent hero.

That's where DC was in May 2016 at the start of DC Rebirth, and Marvel finds itself in the exact same position now as the Legacy relaunch gets underway. The similarities between DC Universe Rebirth #1 and Marvel Legacy #1 really are pretty blatant. The one key difference between the two books is that, while they're both successful at what they set out to accomplish, they ultimately succeed for different reasons. If Marvel Legacy does succeed in its mission to redeem Marvel, it won't be for the same reasons Rebirth has salvaged DC.

Ghosted to Pay Homage to The X-Files' Legacy

On Sunday, October 1st, FOX - home to iconic TV series The X-Files - will premiere Ghosted, a new paranormal action comedy about an ex-cop and an ex-professor joining forces to explore the possibility of aliens, ghosts, and anything else that might go bump in the night.

The show/network pairing is most definitely purposeful too, according to stars Adam Scott and Craig Robinson, and creator Tom Gormican, who I had the pleasure of speaking to back at the Austin Television Festival.

"It's beyond appropriate," Robinson said, of Ghosted airing on FOX. "That's why we wanted to be in it. FOX recognized that too and were very excited about it."

"Yeah, from the very start, before we ever spoke to Tom about this I thought 'this has got to be on FOX'." Scott explained. "It's perfect. And they felt the same way, luckily." Gormican then added that part of what made The X-Files stand out was the horror element, noting "There isn't really another sort of horror genre comedy on TV and that's something we're going to lean into. And there's no other network other than FOX really for people who've tried to spore that on the drama side."

Marvel's Inhumans Box Office Total Ahead of TV Debut

Marvel's Inhumans is finally making its debut on ABC tonight, but Marvel teamed up with IMAX to debut the first two episodes in theaters throughout the world.

Released in theaters on September 1, Inhumans had a short, premium-format theatrical run intended to highlight some of the scenes filmed in IMAX. After its full run, Inhumans made, according to Box Office Mojo, approximately $1.52 million domestically and $1.33 million internationally for a worldwide haul of $2.85 million.

Its domestic opening slotted Inhumans into the 24th highest-grossing spot of its debut weekend (Sept. 1-3) — a time frame which ended up being the worst Labor Day weekend at the box office in 17 years. Inhumans only screened in 393 theaters for a $2,889 per theater average. In terms of every movie playing that weekend, that made Inhumans the 14th highest-grossing by per-theater average, and the fourth-highest grossing of all new releases that weekend.

In terms of every movie playing that weekend, that made Inhumans the 14th highest-grossing by per-theater average, and the fourth-highest grossing of all new releases that weekend.

Why You Should Stop Saying 'DC Extended Universe'

While Marvel has the officially known Marvel Cinematic Universe, Warner Bros. and DC's collection of interconnected films like, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Wonder Woman, has been commonly referred to as the DC Extended Universe. But a new report has revealed the DCEU name is not only unofficial, it was created by a reporter as a joke before gaining traction.

This revelation comes from Abraham Riesman, who recently wrote an extensive piece about DC's movie landscape and the changes being made to it for Vulture. As part of Riesman's research, he discovered Entertainment Weekly writer Keith Staskiewicz is the first person to have coined the DCEU term in 2015.

Where's IGN's Cuphead Review?

You may have noticed that Cuphead is out very soon, and that we don't yet have a review for the Microsoft-exclusive platformer.

Unfortunately, Microsoft wasn't able to provide review codes for Cuphead until Wednesday. Especially given how long people have waited for this game (it was first unveiled during Microsoft's 2014 E3 presentation), we don't feel it's appropriate to cut corners to rush a review out in just a couple of days.

We'll post a full, considered review once we've seen the entirety of what it has to offer. We won't keep you waiting too long.

Also, Cuphead is hard. Has anyone pointed that out?

X-Men: A Brief History of Mutant Hunters

Listen up, bub! The Gifted, the new X-Men television series, premieres on FOX this October 2. Bonus good news: The pilot was directed by none other than Bryan Singer, the man we thank daily for, shall we say, most of the watchable X-Men films (Singer is also a producer of the show). The series is centered on a family who, upon discovering the mutant abilities of their two children, must flee the government and go on the run, becoming hunted along with other persecuted mutants as they fight to survive.

In a refreshing spin, the show may largely ignore the X-Men (or at least, the more popular ones you’re used to seeing), the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and the other usual suspects from that universe, giving audiences the chance to see ordinary folks coming to grips with their powers. While we don’t know a ton of details about the new series yet, we can probably expect at the very least to see the robotic Sentinels used as enforcers against the growing mutant population, as well as a Morlock-esque mutant underground railroad.

No New Diablo Announcements at BlizzCon

Blizzard has announced it won't be making any Diablo-related announcements at this year's BlizzCon.

"This year, we want to give you a heads-up that while Diablo will be on the show floor, we won’t be making any new Diablo announcements," Blizzard wrote on the Battle.net forums.

"There will be a time for that at some point in the future, but that time is not now."

While the company isn't set to reveal what's next for Diablo, BlizzCon 2017 won't ignore the series entirely. The convention, which takes place November 3-4, will feature Diablo panels for both attendees and Virtual Ticket holders, as well as a "special BlizzCon Diablo III in-game reward."

The Weird and Wonderful World of Breath of the Wild Mods

It might surprise you to learn The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has a thriving mod community. It's definitely not officially sanctioned, and modding it can't be done natively on Switch or the Wii U versions. But there's still plenty of modders out there excitedly taking on the game and inserting absolutely ridiculous character and item mods into one of the best games of 2017.

We've gathered up some of the best and most ridiculous of these mods below.

If you've ever wanted to explore the vast expanse of Hyrule as Waluigi, you're in luck. There's a mod for that. Check out the full video on YouTube user Brothy's channel to get a real solid look at how truly bizarre it is to swap Link out for arguably the most reviled character in all of Nintendo-dom.

Justice League Features 'Dark' Superman Theme

Oscar-nominated composer Danny Elfman has spoken about his "dark" take on the Superman theme in DC's upcoming Justice League

In an interview with Billboard - celebrating his acceptance of the Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award - Elfman speaks about the "pleasure" of using "two minutes" of John Williams' classic Superman theme as part of the Justice League score, although he has added his own twist to the classic melody, saying that he's "using it in an actually very dark way, in a dark moment."

As well as John Williams, Elfman is also including a slightly more modern music reference - he mentions in the interview that he's also included Hans Zimmer's update to the Wonder Woman theme, first heard in 2016's Batman vs. Superman.

Mario Was Originally Punching Yoshi in The Head

In the original Super Mario World, it has been confirmed that the animation used when Yoshi sticks out his tongue is meant to depict Mario punching him in the head.

An official Nintendo interview (via Kotaku) with Super Mario World developers Takashi Tezuka and Shigefumi Hino revealed details about how Yoshi came to be and elements of his design, including one specific animation.

“Lots of people think that while Mario is pointing his finger forward, he’s saying ‘Go,’ and Yoshi’s tongue comes out,” Hino said. “However, the set up that I drew was that when Mario punches Yoshi in the head, the character’s tongue shoots out in surprise.”

Forza 7 Users Experiencing Pre-Load Problems on PC

Microsoft recently enabled pre-loading for Forza Motorsport 7 ahead of the game's launch next week, and many users attempting to pre-load Forza 7 from the Windows Store have experienced a download error, resulting in hours of lost progress.

In an official statement made to US Gamer, a Microsoft representative said Forza developer Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft are looking into the problem. According to their statement they are actively working with the Windows Store team on a fix, but offered no time frame for when the issue might be resolved.

The error causes the game's nearly 100GB download to error out at random and restart from 0. Some users reported getting as far as 60GB into the download before experiencing the error. Depending on your internet speed, that could be hours of lost time. For users with data caps the issue is even greater, deterring them from retrying the download for fear of losing all their monthly data.

18 Games Released on Nintendo Switch This Week

Looking for something to play on the Nintendo Switch this week? Fear not, you have 18 new choices thanks to one of the system's biggest launch weeks yet.

While Nintendo has delivered a steady stream of games via the Switch's eShop since the system launched in March, few have been so dense as this one. While past Nintendo consoles like the Wii U faced criticism for having stretches of time in which nothing new and worthy of playing released, Nintendo is clearly looking to prevent that issue on the Switch.

Thanks to the abundance of announcements of Nindies, third-party games, which Nintendo has clearly been aiming to acquire, and more, the Switch's library continues to expand. Of course, that means not every game may be a must-play for the week, but there are a variety of genres and art styles represented with this week's lineup.
