Shortly after its initial reveal this morning, Psyonix revealed new details about the Switch version of Rocket League, which is due out in holiday 2017.
The Switch version will include cross-network play that lets you play against players on other platforms.
It will also include all features and modes released for Rocket League to date, plus local wireless multiplayer and Nintendo-themed customization items like Mario and Luigi hats. Psyonix additionally teased exclusive cars for the Switch version that will be revealed down the road.
Psyonix has been teasing the possibility of cross-network play since last year, most recently telling IGN in March that the studio was “not going to give up” on the feature.
