Sony introduces verified PSN accounts

By contact@videogamer.com (David Scammell)

 news

Game developers, producers, designers and community managers now get authenticated PSN IDs.

Similar to Twitter’s verified accounts, PSN verification aims to authenticate the accounts of individuals who work in the video games industry, including selected game developers, producers, designers and community managers.

Unfortunately there isn’t any way to ‘apply’ for verification, with Sony choosing which accounts to verify themselves.

Those selected will be verified with a tick placed beside their PSN ID. You can see an example of what a verified account looks like in the screengrab above.
