Gearbox investigating PS4 and Xbox One Borderlands The Pre-Sequel frame rate problems

Team is “aware of both screen tear and FPS lag issues”. No such problems in Borderlands 2.

“Just wanted to pop in and ease everyone’s minds a bit,” wrote Gearbox community man Joe King. “The team is certainly aware of both the screen tear and FPS lag issues and are currently investigating them. Needless to say, things are quite busy and we appreciate everyone’s continued patience!”

We’ve tested the game ourselves and can confirm that the tearing and frame drops are quite apparent in The Pre-Sequel, but Borderlands 2 is silky smooth. Let’s hope Gearbox can patch the problem.

The Handsome Collection hits stores tomorrow. Check back for our review later…
