Square Enix has shared the news that the much-maligned Chrono Trigger port on Steam will receive a patch that will add the pixel art graphics of the original game.
A series of patches are scheduled for the next few months, with the "option to switch between the current high-resolution graphics, and the original graphical style of Chrono Trigger" rolling out in the first one.
The game's Steam release in February wasn't very well received, appearing to be a port of the mobile version.
