Microsoft has announced that it's "broadening its approach" in the gaming market.
CEO Satya Nadella announced the company's ambitions in the gaming space during Microsoft’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders (via DualShockers).
“We’re mobilizing to pursue an expansive opportunity in the 100+ billion gaming market," said Nadella. "This means broadening our approach to how we think about gaming end-to-end. About starting with games and how they’re created and distributed, and how they’re played and viewed.”
Nadella went on to reference services Game Pass and Mixer as a means to promote connectivity among its hardware, and said Microsoft plans to “grow and engage the over 53 million Xbox Live members more deeply and frequently.” He also mentioned the Xbox One X is seeing “incredible response from fans this Holiday season.”
