Over the last seven years, Andy Serkis has played Caesar in three of the best blockbusters of recent years. It's a proper trilogy, too, with each film developing and deepening the character from lab experiment to a strong, compassionate leader.
In the video above, Serkis – the man who knows the character better than anyone – goes through six scenes from the trilogy that define Caesar's journey.
Serkis popped into to see us while promoting Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier, an interactive adventure game that takes place between Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes, which is out now. You can take a look at the first 17 minutes of the game in the video below:
