The Transformers movies have a peculiar habit of attracting world-renowned thespians to help bring to life the story of giant, alien robots who transform into cars and fighter jets. That trend dates all the way back to 1986's Transformers: The Movie, which proved to be one of the last gigs in Oscar winner Orson Welles' long, storied career.

These days, it seems like the best and brightest in Hollywood are practically falling over themselves to appear in one of Michael Bay's live-action Transformers movies.
