Blizzard has announced the Hearthstone Global Games tournament.
The 2017 event will feature 48 national teams compete against one another until only 16 remain. After that happens, the 16 will be seeded into a single elimination bracket, from which only four teams walk out and go on to battle at the live Global Games finals.
There’s a shared pot of over $300,000 up for grabs, with each member of the top team taking home $15,000 each. The setup for each team sees the top ranked player for each country automatically invited onto the team, with the other three members voted on by the community.
