The sequel Top Gun: Maverick is set to feature a new version of the 1980s hit, Danger Zone.
Speaking to TMZ, the song's original performer Kenny Loggins revealed he spoke to Tom Cruise about recording a new take on the song. Loggins is particularly interested in tag-teaming it with a fresh act.
“I met Tom Cruise on
, and I asked him that question," Loggins said, talking about doing a new Danger Zone song. "He said, ‘Of course, we have to use Danger Zone.’
So I’m hoping to do it, maybe as a duet with a young act. I’d love to work with, well, there’s young and then there’s young. We have some feelers out to some pretty cool rock acts.”
