Jigsaw topped the domestic box office in its debut this weekend, earning an estimated $16.3 million.
The horror film, which serves as the eighth entry in the Saw franchise, performed a bit below projections, which anticipated a $20 million opening weekend. Jigsaw reportedly cost $10 million to produce and garnered at B CinemaScore from moviegoers.
It's been seven years since a new entry in the Lionsgate's horror series, following the release of Saw 3D: The Final Chapter in 2010. For our thoughts on Jigsaw, watch IGN's video review below:
