Pokemon Go Players Have Walked 8.7 Billion Kilometers

Pokemon Go developer Niantic Labs has revealed that a whopping 8.7 billion kilometers have been walked by those playing its hit mobile game.

The Pokemon Go development team shared the news in a post on the game's official site. The impressive figure—which nearly doubles the 4.6 billion kilometers it racked up by September—was reached on December 7, and equates to over 200,000 trips around our planet.

Niantic Labs also revealed that Pokemon Go players have now caught more than 88 billion Pokemon, which makes for approximately 533 million creatures caught each day since the game's launch.
