The producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the stage play that tells the story of Harry, Ron, and Hermione's children, are in the "final stages" of talks to bring the show to Broadway beginning in the spring of 2018.
Announced on Pottermore, plans to bring Cursed Child to New York are currently underway, with talks already ongoing to bring the show to life in a "totally transformed" Lyric Theatre, which currently hosts the Cirque du Soleil Paramour show. The Cursed Child,
, opened in London's West End earlier this year.
The multi-million dollar renovation plans would alter the theater to accommodate 1,500 attendants rather than its current 1,900 in order to allow the show's producers to properly bring the stage show's intricate set design to life.
