Deadpool 2: Miller's Version Would've Cost 3x the Original

New details on the recent departure of director Tim Miller from Deadpool 2 have surfaced, with reports claiming that Miller's version would have cost significantly more than what star Ryan Reynolds had in mind for the sequel.

An "individual familiar with the project" told TheWrap that active development on Deadpool 2 was already underway when the first film was in production. During initial talks, Reynolds (along with screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick) wanted to make a "scrappy" and inexpensive followup similar to the first film, which sported a modest $58 million budget.
